Word of advice for any candidate who is courting Latinos: we can handle you telling us something we don’t like or don’t want to hear. But we can’t stand you being too coward to say anything at all.

I met someone who didn't like Peruvian food today and I immediately walked away and ended the convo the moment they said that. Thats like saying you don't like Air, or warm weather, or sunshine.

He fucking killed it here honestly
I’ve watched this video many different times and the thing that sticks out to me the most about this whole exchange is that Abdul is interested in protecting everyone’s right to freedom of religion, but this Christian man is here saying he essentially will not protect everyone everyone’s right to practice their religion as they want to. That sums up what the evangelical right wing wants in this country. So when religious minorities support the GOP, what they’re actually forfeiting their own right to practice whatever faith they come from. x.com/AbdulElSayed/status/21…

Watching Alabama Democrats turn a few races competitive this cycle is honestly heartwarming. The idea of outrunning the status quo is about making an inclusive multi racial working class progressive populism. It works.

Dems should have absolutely done that, even in those years when you were a Democrat. I’ll give that. But that’s a pretty weak response when we’ve had a Republican governor for 23 years and you have had a super majority in the legislature for 15 years. The economy you have built is not working for the average Alabamian. We top the list in personal bankruptcies, top of the list in debt collection lawsuits, we’re 7th in the number of folks in poverty, we’re third in the country in having the lowest workforce participation rate, we have almost 20% of the population facing hunger every day, we’re losing farms from one end of the state to the other, we’re losing rural hospitals left and right and healthcare delivery is near the bottom, you’re sucking money out of the education trust fund to go to private schools while the overall quality of public education still ranks near the bottom of all states (even Mississippi) and per pupil spending ranks near the bottom, quality of life consistently ranks at the bottom, the prison system is a disgrace while you rob the education trust fund to build a prison that is costing almost 3 times the original projection, electricity rates are some of the highest in the country while you guys have controlled the PSC for the last 25 years or so, retired teachers can’t get a COLA. And all of this may get worse thanks to “Coach” and his DC policies that have hurt so many in Alabama. In your economy your rich corporate buddies are doing fine but the rest of Alabama is hurting. People in Alabama are not stupid. They are not living in the past. They are struggling and they know who has been in charge while Alabama is stuck at the top of most lists that are bad and at the bottom of most that are good. They are ready for change.
You do realize Democrats had 136 years of control over the state Legislature. Why didn’t they cut the grocery tax then? Instead, they left the state BILLIONS in debt and voted to give themselves pay raises during the 2008 financial crisis while Alabamians were suffering. We cut the grocery tax in half last quadrennium and delivered over $1.5B in tax relief. We’ve been able to do that while fixing the education system your buddies broke and building the strongest economy in our state’s history. The same delusional leadership you brought to your brief stint in the U.S. Senate is showing in a big way right now. Can’t wait for Coach to send you packing… again. #voterepublican

Real bad indicator for Republicans: Voters give Democrats a slight edge on immigration two years after Republicans had a significant advantage on immigration.

You’re supposed to be “public radio”, the people’s radio! Whatever happened to free speech? Whatever happened to our First Amendment? Do we really matter that little to you, cabrones?

I try to ignore the trolls but this open racism and hate deserves to be shown and shamed. I led volunteer Airmen from Scott AFB to organize the thousands of pounds of donations that overwhelmed the International Institute of STL when folks turned out to support Afghans fleeing the Taliban. Almost all of those poor souls supported our troops in combat during the longest war in American history. We didn’t see any taxpayer money. Just decent Missourians who cared.

Inflation is up once again. Trump's tariffs are driving up costs, and French Hill keeps backing them. French had FIVE opportunities to stand up for Arkansas families. All five times, French Hill chose not to. As your next Congressman, I’ll vote to end the reckless tariffs and bring down costs for you.
