@RIS_NewDelhi, as the Knowledge Partner for the Sustainability pillar of the BRICS Task Force on Growth and Development, contributed to the Third Meeting of the BRICS Task Force on Growth and Development held in Guwahati during 29-30 July 2026. The workshop commenced with 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐌𝐫. 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐳𝐮𝐦𝐢, 𝑬𝒙𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝑰𝑫𝑬-𝑱𝑬𝑻𝑹𝑶. In his remarks, he highlighted that India and Japan, as trusted partners in the Indo-Pacific, are uniquely positioned to shape the development agenda of the Global South through collaborative research and evidence-based policymaking. He emphasised that stronger institutional partnerships, joint research, and knowledge exchange are essential for addressing emerging challenges related to trade, resilient supply chains, critical minerals, connectivity, technology, and sustainable development.
