I'm with Yudkowsky on this one. Cryonics lets you have your cake and eat it too. Delayed safe singularity will revive you if it works, and it can be a century after you die. It's a much saner concept if you already see ASI as possible.

Um all I can say is with that attitude probably you ARE doomed! I was diagnosed with stage 4 inoperable pancreatic cancer. I sure didnt wait for medicine to fix me. I did get seriously into SCIENCE! & now im still here 4 yrs later with no surgery, no radiation & only chemo twice
