Over at @brimblehq i tried to kill the abstraction layer existing providers do on compute usage.
@brimblehq shows you the compute you are using and how much you are paying for directly, it also sends you weekly email with a pdf file of your usage breakdown
When you start self hosting and managing compute yourself, you'd realize that cloud hosting services have been spoiling you

Anyways we learn everyday. I really don't like jumping on posts, but since it's brimble, i'd do the needful.
Every service you know out there is an object storage, but it been an object storage doesn't mean it's s3 compatible
Google cloud storage is an object storage but it's not s3 compatible
Cloudflare R2 is an object storage but it's not fully s3 compatible
S3-compatible object storage = an object storage provider that implements the S3 API closely enough that AWS S3 SDKs/tools can talk to it. (MinO, r2, e.t.c)
Now that you've said regional by design, is lagos not a region ?????????
I am really trying my best to find the meaning of this tweet and if you look further, if you really know what you are doing, you will find and even implement s3 buckets in lagos.
What's the logic? S3 buckets are regional by design and replicate across all AZs?
And last I checked S3 was not available in lagos
