How can democratic decisions be smarter than the median voter? Beyond Arrow's paradox. Building @Anode_GG.

The true test of any organizational paradigm or collective consensus building effort is this: Does it make the whole more intelligent than the one, or less? Do people get better when interacting with the system? Or worse? It's really that simple, and that hard.

Every $RSR unlock now comes with a burn 🔥 This plan comes directly from the community: @AmatorPatriae proposed tying unlocking to burning, which became the design of the final Burn Gauge: no schedule, no calendar... nothing released unless the protocol has burned RSR first. If the protocol burns nothing, nothing unlocks. RSR holders choose the ratio, with five positions on the gauge: → High burn: for every 1 RSR the protocol burns, 4 more are burned from the treasury. No unlocking. → Low burn: for every 1 RSR the protocol burns, 2 more are burned from the treasury. No unlocking. → Sustain: for every 2 RSR the protocol burns, 1 is unlocked from the treasury. → Low growth: for every 1 RSR the protocol burns, 2 are unlocked from the treasury. → High growth: for every 1 RSR the protocol burns, 4 are unlocked from the treasury. At the two burn settings the treasury shrinks and nothing is released. At the three growth settings, Confusion Capital can release more than the burn-driven amount, but treasury RSR is burned in exchange at that position’s ratio. An unofficial burn gauge simulator is available here: claude.ai/artifact/5UAT2smqK… @nnevvinn, Confusion Capital, ABC Labs, Best Friend Finance and every company Confusion Capital incubates sit these votes out; they won’t vote with the RSR they hold. The gauge is set by the RSR holder base. The community will vote on it every quarter by ranked choice, following the quarterly update call and report, so you can see where the business stands before choosing a setting. The first gauge vote is open now and runs seven days ↓ snapshot.box/#/s:reserveprot…

$RSR holders - 2 days left. Burn Gauge vote is ~74M $RSR shy of quorum. Example at "High Burn" using the last 3 monthly burns: 16.3M + 9.7M + 14.3M protocol burns -> +161M extra treasury burns = ~202M $RSR burned in total. Zero unlocked! 🔥🔥🔥 Rank your 5 choices here: snapshot.box/#/s:reserveprot… If you haven’t voted, do it now!

the frontier has so effectively paced itself that the open source world has completely caught up. in truth this is the best possible outcome for AI safety and the world in general. So whether intentional or not: good job guys!

Honestly there are few better coding harnesses for non engineers than @bot. You tell it what to do, it asks a couple questions sometimes and then... just does it. Just produces good output. You can do some back and forth to personalize the output further then. And in between it just disappears and produces working software. incredible.

PumpFun at 320M annual revenue shows that memecoins aren't a fad. I said this for a while now. Memecoins are a novel gambling paradigm. Bit like horse races, in that there's a strong timing element. But definitely here to stay.

$RSR holders - the first Burn Gauge vote is live! Burn Gauge won. Now holders set the dial. This is ranked choice, so rank the five settings in order. That choice decides how burns and unlocks work this quarter. 1. High burn: 1 protocol burn also burns 4 treasury $RSR. No unlocks. 2. Low burn: 1 protocol burn also burns 2 treasury $RSR. No unlocks. 3. Sustain: 2 protocol burns unlock 1 treasury $RSR. 4. Low growth: 1 protocol burn unlocks 2 treasury $RSR. 5. High growth: 1 protocol burn unlocks 4 treasury $RSR. Vote: snapshot.box/#/s:reserveprot… Closes 25 Sep, 16:00 UTC. Quorum is 1B RSR. About 290M still needed. $0 gas. If you voted last week, vote again. This is a new ballot.

Just work with Anode.
How @reserveprotocol decided on what to do with their treasury (50% of outstanding token supply) is a case study in DAO governance and tapping into the community's wisdom. The winning proposal, and current implementation was proposed by an anonymous forum member, refined by comments on the Forum, and adopted by all token holders across 20+ DTF DAOs. We helped rally community support, explain the stakes and the consequences and clarify the options.

OAI definitely guilty of breaking the law with the HF attack. It's software was told to hack systems and hacked systems. Low severity definitely mitigating factor. But nevertheless: This is criminal.
The law is super clear and fits precisely with what happened. It came about after a breach quite similar to the unauthorized use at HF.

Ever since @deepseek_ai V4 Flash I hadn't felt a need to use Astra or Fable. With V4 I sometimes still used them for stuff I thought was "too complex". Since Deepseek Flash 4.1 this has stopped. It's just good. Period. I don't do extremly complex stuff like hardware driver development or vast multiuser systems development. Maybe there I'd need Astra. I don't know. Flash 4.1 is just great, and it's so inexpensive that I don't think about token spend at all. Just pay the meter. It doesn't matter. The token spend anxiety is gone. Just do things.

Burn Gauge it is!!! This links unlocking and burning, ranging from pure fast burn to mechanically-linked unlocking+burning, and RSR holders (excluding me, and excluding the main companies involved in the project, only independent holders) get to control the gauge setting. Get ready to vote on the initial gauge setting, starting tomorrow.
The $RSR unlocking votes have been tallied, and The Burn Gauge wins 🔥 This means that moving forward, unlocking will be tied to protocol burn via a “gauge” set by RSR holders quarterly The first gauge vote will open Friday, Sep. 18 and run seven days as ranked choice across five positions, from High Burn (protocol burn destroys treasury RSR, nothing unlocks) to High Growth (1 RSR burned unlocks 4) Thanks to everyone who voted on both and got each proposal past quorum! Read more about the details of the burn gauge in advance of the first vote: forum.reserve.org/t/proposal…

Today we are announcing that S&P Global has entered an agreement to acquire OpenZeppelin. Onchain finance is growing from an emerging market into core financial infrastructure, and the standards and rails our team and community built are becoming the rails of global finance. OpenZeppelin smart contracts facilitated over $37 trillion in value transferred, with the vast majority of the largest DeFi protocols, blockchain networks, stablecoins and tokenized funds relying on them. With S&P Global, we expect to accelerate the impact of onchain finance, backed by more than a century of trust in global markets, benchmarks, and risk frameworks. To our clients and to all the users of OpenZeppelin open source tools: • OpenZeppelin Contracts and all our open source applications and tools remain open source, free, and publicly maintained on GitHub. Building open source standards stays a core priority. • Audits, engineering work, and ecosystem programs continue with the same team, brand, quality, and customer experience, with what will be the added benefit of S&P Global's research capacity, market data, and institutional reach. For the last decade, OpenZeppelin has set the security standard for onchain finance. Today begins a new chapter for that mission, together with one of the most trusted names in global markets. Last year, I put together the first version of a Delegation Handbook. A year in DAO governance is a long time. The space evolves, new models emerge, and what “good delegation” looks like keeps changing. So at @Anode_GG, we went back to it, challenged what we thought we knew, and built V2. Really excited to finally have this out. DAO Delegate Handbook V2 ↓
We published an updated version of our DAO Delegate Handbook. Dive in to see what makes a delegates useful for DAOs, what to avoid and how to be a great delegate: anode.gg/research/dao-delega…

Very proud that @Anode_GG has played a role in this success story. The first Bitcoin L2 DAO - implementing the best lessons from EVM governance on a platform secured by the biggest digital asset.
3,000 stakers. 🚀 From 1,105 to 3,024 in just 9 months, that's 174% growth since January. Every staker is a vote of confidence in @rootstock_io and the future of Bitcoin DeFi. Thank you for building this with us. Onward. 🧡
