Jonas Lamis is the founder and CEO of @remountco, a Palo Alto startup building the finance and operations layer for robot fleets: robotaxis, robodelivery, and eventually humanoids.
The premise is that regular people should own the machines, not just ride in them. Remount lets five friends put in $1,000 each and own a Cybercab together, with the company handling financing, filings, operations, and the quarterly distribution.

I took one of the world's first public rides. The cabin is comfortable and spacious, the suspension is soft, and FSD is VERY smooth. It’s an incredible vehicle. The screen is HUGE. The video doesn’t do it justice.
We can ride in the Cybercab anywhere in Tesla’s Austin service area, so the same areas as the Model Y Robotaxi.
The Cybercab lives up to the hype. It will transform travel.

The operator's name goes on a robotaxi in vinyl, even when they don't own the car. Heat gun, couple hours, and it lifts off clean.

Mixed ownership only works if an owner's car and the operator's are on one inspection schedule. A missed check takes either one out of service until it clears.
