Iran does not control the Strait. They attack and kill unarmed mariners to terrorize markets and the world. The strait is open. Ships go through daily, but there is a danger and risk that Iran loves to cultivate. There are other risks in maritime trade also, like storms etc.

BLUF: Waiting until ICE takes a person with a final removal order into custody before filing a Motion to Reopen is a tactical stall, not a due-process right. The person already received a hearing, a decision from an immigration judge, and the statutory windows to appeal or reopen. Justice delayed on a final federal order is justice denied—and taxpayers foot the bill for the extra detention days. A person with a final order of removal generally gets one statutory Motion to Reopen, due within 90 days of that order (with narrow exceptions for changed country conditions, certain in-absentia claims, or a joint motion with DHS). Many attorneys do not file during those years the person is at large. They wait until ICE locates and detains the individual, then rush an MTR plus a stay request. That timing is a choice. Filing earlier would not automatically stay removal in most cases, and it would use the one-shot motion before new facts (if any) fully develop. Filing at the moment of detention maximizes friction: ICE has already spent resources to find and house the person, communication with counsel becomes slower, transfers occur, and last-minute emergency stays clog the system. The result is more detention days, more court time, and higher costs—exactly the opposite of executing a final order that has already survived the process. This is not a denial of due process. Due process occurred when the immigration judge heard the case, issued the order, and the person had the chance to appeal to the BIA and, if desired, petition a federal court. The later MTR is an extraordinary, limited remedy for genuinely new evidence that could not have been presented earlier. Treating it as a default delay mechanism after years of non-compliance turns a narrow statutory tool into a tax-funded stall. The public locator change ICE implemented for people with final orders simply reduces the window for that last-minute scramble. It does not eliminate the right to file a meritorious motion. It does reduce the ability to time the filing for maximum delay after the government has already paid to detain the individual. Final orders exist so they can be executed. When the tactic is to wait until the taxpayer has already incurred the detention cost, the tactic is the problem—not the enforcement of the order.

When I was a Delta pilot, I used to layover in Minneapolis a lot. I visited the Mall of America a few years ago. I’d heard about it and had lots of time to kill. The copilot told me not to waste my time but I was super bored. I went for it. I immediately regretted it. I felt like I was back in Mogadishu in 1993. Black Hawk Down vibes. It’s a third world hell hole. Couldn’t wait to leave. It’s not the United States, it’s Somalia. We don’t want it and we don’t want @Ilhan.

As a former Special Forces Warrant Officer with multiple rotations running counterinsurgency ops—both hunting insurgents and trying to separate them from sympathetic populations—I’ve seen organized resistance up close. From Anbar to Helmand, the pattern is familiar: spotters, cutouts, dead drops (or modern equivalents), disciplined comms, role specialization, and a willingness to absorb casualties while bleeding the stronger force slowly. What’s unfolding in Minneapolis right now isn’t “protest.” It’s low-level insurgency infrastructure, built by people who’ve clearly studied the playbook. Signal groups at 1,000-member cap per zone. Dedicated roles: mobile chasers, plate checkers logging vehicle data into shared databases, 24/7 dispatch nodes vectoring assets, SALUTE-style reporting (Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, Equipment) on suspected federal vehicles. Daily chat rotations and timed deletions to frustrate forensic recovery. Vetting processes for new joiners. Mutual aid from sympathetic locals (teachers providing cover, possible PD tip-offs on license plate lookups). Home-base coordination points. Rapid escalation from observation to physical obstruction—or worse. This isn’t spontaneous outrage. This is C2 (command and control) with redundancy, OPSEC hygiene, and task organization that would make a SF team sergeant nod in recognition. Replace “ICE agents” with “occupying coalition forces” and the structure maps almost 1:1 to early-stage urban cells we hunted in the mid-2000s. The most sobering part? It’s domestic. Funded, trained (somewhere), and directed by people who live in the same country they’re trying to paralyze law enforcement in. When your own citizens build and operate this level of parallel intelligence and rapid-response network against federal officers—complete with doxxing, vehicle pursuits, and harassment that’s already turned lethal—you’re no longer dealing with civil disobedience. You’re facing a distributed resistance that’s learned the lessons of successful insurgencies: stay below the kinetic threshold most of the time, force over-reaction when possible, maintain popular support through narrative, and never present a single center of gravity. I spent years training partner forces to dismantle exactly this kind of apparatus. Now pieces of it are standing up in American cities, enabled by elements of local government and civil society. That should keep every thinking American awake at night. Not because I want escalation. But because history shows these things don’t de-escalate on their own once the infrastructure exists and the cadre believe they’re winning the information war. We either recognize what we’re actually looking at—or we pretend it’s still just “activism” until the structures harden and spread. Your call, America. But from where I sit, this isn’t January 2026 politics anymore. It’s phase one of something we’ve spent decades trying to keep off our own soil.

America was prayed for before it existed — by men and women, through their hearts, under great peril. A constitutional republic was formed, one that refused to let fifty-one percent vote away the rights of the forty-nine. In our constitutional republic, no majority can override fundamental rights that are given by God, not men. These rights are enshrined in the document itself. America is unique among all nations in this respect, and still guided by God's grace in our current era. America was the first in the world to enshrine these truths within its Constitution in 1787, and the first national constitution to enshrine individual rights limiting government power. It became a guiding beacon of light to the world, and now, in many ways, springs forth from this platform where life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, free speech, and creativity are held as driving principles — a reflection of creation. It is a part of the American story. And if we keep listening and being respectful to one another and our individual views of the world, we may have a worldly renaissance, clearing all of us away from the darkness now swirling and steering us back into the light. As we dangerously engage with God's creation and with AI oracles and flying-like-ziggurats — aimed at what should be a well-intentioned mark, but falling short over and over, pointing them at each other instead of the stars — know it was evil hubris and evil intent, wanting to rival all other humans and God rather than trying to reach Him in their hearts. They were themselves destroyed, left with hearts of coal and void of light — the light they had once been freely given — but simply practiced that separation in their lives, careers, presidencies, and diplomatic tenure, flailing to hold the stitches of earth together in a tapestry that will always exist. Much like tectonic plates move and shift across the earth's surface. We need to take a deep breath, hold it, relax, and pray again, and create a new chapter for each and every one of us. There are always ways to stay on course, or reverse. Make that choice if you have not — it was written in you from the beginning. May God continue to bless man and woman and America. God always has a way of surprising all his creatures great and small, especially the ones that decide to call out in his name with a peaceful heart.

I approve of the proposed 'Arc de Trump' Triumphal Arch in DC. I used to live in Arlington (N Ode St) and drove past that still empty lot circle nearly every day for a year. It will be a spectacular addition to the Capitol! Don't listen to the Karens. The USA earned this.
