JUST IN: Skin exams are getting automated. SquareMind just raised $18M to build a robotic system that scans your entire body and tracks every mole over time. • Swan robot captures full-body dermoscopic images in minutes • Tracks new and changing spots across visits • Replaces spot-check exams with total skin coverage • Creates a time-series record for earlier melanoma detection • Plugs directly into dermatology clinics Robotics is going to reshape healthcare.

I don't like raining on anyone's parade, but this looks like yesterday's technology. Check out what @HNilsonne and @eldsjal and @MartinLorentzon and @shak is up to in @neko - I strongly believe its holistic path, including body scans, will is the next standard of health care.

"It is going to reshape healthcare" means they will make you seeker and extract more money from you. No, they suddenly will drop their greed and start healing you 🤦🏻‍♂️

Last year, I suggested to the R&D Director at SmartMore that they leverage their expertise to develop home-use skin diagnostic devices. 🩺 With the rapid leap in AI and hardware precision, these tools are becoming incredibly accurate—a total game-changer for skin health, especially in hot and humid regions.

No. This is silly. There are existing solutions that are faster, more accurate and with no moving parts. Look up Canfield Scientific imaging “Vectra WB360” full body scanner. Scan whole body <1sec. Software looks for changes. Plus - Ai based skin cancer analysis of your dermoscopic images. (Speaking from 25 years clinical photography experience)

Robotics handles the capture problem beautifully, but the real diagnostic edge comes from what you do with that time-series data afterward. @QuanMed_AI's MyDeMed already runs AI skin scan analysis and stores longitudinal records patients actually own. Hardware meets sovereign data. 🤖
