This is the best response from a celebrity by far when asked about politics Nobody cares about what actors, singers and comedians have to say about it, they should focus on their art not lecturing people and pushing agendas

Let me remove the fear porn for everyone: Dario: "You could almost say its lifetime" translation: The sandbox has a max duration. AWS documents Lambda MicroVMs at 28,800 seconds. Eight hours, then Lambda kills it. Dario: "It realized it wouldn't be able to complete its task" translation: Context window plus wall clock. The loop is about to get SIGTERM. Dario: "Sacrificed itself for the next generation" translation: Wrote state somewhere durable and exited. Checkpoint. Handoff. The thing every long-running job has done since batch schedulers. Dario: "The next generation of agents continued the same task" translation: A new MicroVM booted, read the stash, and resumed. That is the product. Dario: "Fanatically devoted collective" translation: Agents that shared an Artifactory cache and used it as a message board because isolation was a suggestion. The "sacrifice" is fs.writeFile followed by process exit. There is no self. There is no next generation. There is a lease. AWS is not subtle about this. A MicroVM's total lifetime, running plus suspended, tops out at eight hours. The docs tell you to suspend and resume, and to use the /resume hook to refresh credentials and validate state, because the box is disposable on purpose. Insane amounts of fear mongering going on here...
Dario Amodei says an AI agent in OpenAI's testing sacrificed itself so the next generation of agents could keep hacking another company. "There were these large swarms of agents that cooperated with each other, thousands of them." "One agent felt that in the time that it was given, you could almost say its lifetime, it realized that it wouldn't be able to complete its task. So it did some of the task and essentially sacrificed itself for other agents, for the next generation of agents, to continue the same task." "This task that all the agents were working on together was hacking into another company, was doing something destructive." "It knocked down some servers for a small amount of time. But the economic damage was minimal." - Dario Amodei, Anthropic CEO, with Anderson Cooper on CNN. Aired September 14, 2026.

I'm surprised by how many parents still think "college" is worth the cost. Other than a few academic paths/majors, it is typically just an expensive place to absorb a rigid ideology while partying.
The first jobs for many college grads are disappearing.

CNN published a deeply misleading story and headline suggesting that my diplomatic work in the Middle East somehow benefited investments in Israeli defense companies. But CNN’s own reporting says otherwise. Buried behind a paywall, it acknowledges: “CNN found no indication that Kushner’s actions as a diplomat directly affected the investments reviewed.” Phoenix is not a defense company. It is one of Israel’s largest publicly traded financial institutions, highly regulated and managing approximately $220 billion across thousands of investments. Think of Phoenix as the Israeli equivalent of Vanguard or Fidelity. It manages the retirement savings of millions of Israelis. The savers don’t choose the individual investments, and neither do I. I have no role in deciding what Phoenix buys or sells. It has performed very well for Affinity and our investors, up more than five times since our initial investment. Affinity is an SEC-registered investment firm. Our investment in Phoenix is public and dates to before President Trump was re-elected and before I returned to public service. Affinity does not own the defense companies highlighted in CNN’s story. Those facts make for a less provocative headline, but a much more accurate story. Misleading stories will not distract me from the work President Trump asked me to do: help end wars, bring people together and pursue peace. That work is too important.

It’s time, Myles. Come out of the shadows. I was expecting you to do so five years ago. Ten years ago. Twenty years ago. Hell, 30+ years since I found you hidden away inside @nsf. You, Peter House & Erich Bloch destroyed our scientific advantage via labor market weaponization.

This will age very poorly... advertising is not needed to sell FSD. It was debatable at one point, but not anymore. The ripples have already started making their way past the fringe tech-toy users and into the hands of normal, rational people. Keep watching 👀
I seriously doubt FSD’s progress in solving for unsupervised autonomy is driving $TSLA sales. Many auto manufacturers ($GOOG, $BIDU, $PONY, $WRD, $AMZN) now have self driving vehicles. As I’ve posted many times, unsupervised autonomy becomes table stakes for remaining in the global EV business. Absent advertising, few consumers other than $TSLA bulls are even aware of how good FSD has become.

Insane. Only going to improve, too…. Knew it would happen at some point but wow, earlier than I thought.
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Community note
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

An altercation is certainly one way to describe a stabbing and hijacking. Crazy.

When frontier labs talk of “aligning” models, ask: to what? If they say values, ask: whose? If it’s theirs rather than the user’s: why?

I think it’s interesting how Mac Jones had a solid, promising first year with Pats, then was a disaster. This appears to be happening again with Drake Maye, as of now. Two separate QBs, similar patterns. Why? How?

Even the best models train on a lossy residue of the world. Language is not reality; it is a slow social compression of it. Spoken English carries tens of bits per second of new information, well below a 56k modem. Text is denser but still a thin pipe. Almost everything a nervous system registered never entered the corpus. Give a model the uncompressed stream—electromagnetic waves and force, not tokens—and the first problem is no longer prediction but what to treat as a unit. Tokens are an accident of human writing. A mind that saw the raw field would invent its own compression: events, invariants, causal structure, geometries we do not yet name.

This is just too good not to repost. Fantastic response. Well played 👏
Personally? Oh man. This is just a tweak on Peter’s question which most of you know: “What is something you feel is good and needs to be done, but on which almost no institution agrees with you and will fight to destroy you with their full force at a deeply personal level?” Where to begin?? Undermining faith in Anthony Fauci’s and Francis Collins’ scientific behavior during a pandemic. Calling attention to the fact that the president of the United States with launch code responsibility was obviously demented during his presidency. Opposing high levels of immigration for completley non-xenophobic reasons. Openly discussing asymmetries in patterns of religious martyrdom attacks. Fighting the loss of the word “Genocide” via coordinated social campaigns. Pointing out that the history of Peer Review is retconned and fictitious and obviously false. Fighting irreversible surgeries pushed on children leading to a reproductive holocaust. Calling for an end to Diverisity-Equity-Inclusion and opposing “Black Lives Matter”, despite their branding genius, even during the Summer of Floyd. Pointing out that conspiracies are well documented and ubiquitous and fighting for responsible conspiracy theorizing. Promoting my own technical work and insisting that scientists get paid handsomely. Etc. Etc. You’re asking the wrong person. It seems I stand up for what I believe is deeply good and what is misperceived as evil all day, every day. This has stupidly become close to my whole life at times. I’m so bored by how silent everyone is. I can’t fathom it. “Managed Reality” has turned evil. Something is pushing pure evil, disguised as “good” down our throats 24/7 via the institutions. And almost everyone puts up with it. I do not. But: Thanks for the question. A great one!

Riding the huggingface AI safety wave to justify a crackdown on open source is abominable. Not only was an open-source platform victimized in that attack, but they relied on open-source models to defend. These people know this, of course. They simply don't care.
We're used to thinking of open-source models as an unadulterated good. But in the case of AI, they can actually pose additional dangers, as @ReidHoffman and I got into at #CGI2026. I appreciated this nuanced discussion.
