A Black Sea freedom of navigation arrangement would protect lives and vital supplies. Ukraine has proposed it. Russia has rejected it. Donald Trump just handed Vladimir Putin yet another win. A month ago, Trump signed the toughest Russia sanctions bill Congress has ever passed, 86 to 11. Those sanctions were supposed to go into effect on Sunday, but late Friday night Trump waived almost all of them with basically no notice. Then he went on Truth Social and said Russia is doing the world a favor by selling cheap diesel and that Zelensky doesn’t want peace and probably never did.  The country that invaded is the generous benefactor and the country that got invaded is the problem. That’s the Kremlin’s version of this war, posted by the President of the United States. Putin didn’t negotiate for any of this. He didn’t give up a thing. He just got it. Ukraine has hacked its way into Russian documents and intelligence, revealing Vladimir Putin’s plan to make major Ukrainian cities uninhabitable by systematically wiping out their energy, water, and heating systems. These are crimes against humanity.

Since the American President announced the energy ceasefire a week ago, Russia has deliberately attacked Ukraine’s energy and oil and gas sectors 76 times. Last night alone, there were strikes on substations in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions. Tens of thousands of families remain without power. Energy workers and repair crews are working virtually around the clock to restore electricity supply. Overnight, the Russians also struck residential buildings in our regions. As of now, 12 people have been reported injured, including two children. Two people have been killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. This morning, there was a strike on an agricultural enterprise in Volyn. All necessary services are working at the site. In total, over this past week, the Russians have attacked Ukraine with almost 2,700 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 66 missiles, most of them ballistic. The main targets of these strikes are energy facilities – the Russians are trying to cause a blackout. And America should see that Russia is not taking any reciprocal steps in response to sanctions relief or agreements. On the contrary, they take every signal of an opportunity to make money as proof that their bet on war is paying off and they can keep fighting. It is because of this position of Russia’s that the war continues, not because Ukraine is rightfully defending itself. It is Russia that must face pressure for peace to have a chance. The American negotiating track will continue. We’re counting on them to put more pressure on Putin, not on us. Otherwise, it’s simply unfair. As for our meetings with the American side – we expect to meet and are ready to meet in Ukraine or in Europe. If they want to meet in America, let them invite us. We’re ready to negotiate anywhere, and we’re ready for any format: three-way, two-way, four-way, five-plus – it doesn’t matter. What matters is peace. The American side has given us a signal that our meeting with them can happen next week. And, of course, in my view, Europeans need to have their own infrastructure and their own track for negotiations with Russia. We need to pursue every possible avenue to stop the war. We’ll also speak separately with Türkiye. I plan to talk separately with President Erdoğan about the sea and food security, and with representatives of Middle Eastern countries. Regarding a meeting with Putin, the United States is working on this. They have a proposal for a trilateral meeting. This meeting can take place in one of the Middle Eastern countries. The United States has always mentioned the UAE or Saudi Arabia. Another possibility is for the meeting to take place in the United States during the G20 summit. But there has been no confirmation yet from Russia or from the United States. The meeting could also take place in one of the European countries. Ukraine is asking the EU for 70 billion euros to continue fighting in 2027. That is 0.4% of the EU GDP or 155 euros per European. Not having a battle-hardened victorious Russian army on Europe's border is worth roughly 2000% of the EU GDP. Our leaders must find the money.

Today, Russia expressed its thanks for the lifting of sanctions on diesel exports by dropping five glide bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. As of now, sadly, twelve people have been confirmed killed, including three children. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Another fourteen people have been injured, and two of them are in critical condition – the doctors are fighting to save their lives. The status of twelve more people who may have been there is still being verified. All emergency services are at the scene, and search-and-rescue operations are underway. Overnight, thirteen of our regions came under attack. Residential buildings, infrastructure, and railway facilities have been damaged. Last night confirmed once again that in Russia, they take any easing of pressure to mean they can keep fighting, to mean they can keep dropping bombs on cities. Different signals are needed. Russia must understand that it needs to stop the war, and for that to happen, Russia must feel its losses. Right now, it is our long-range capabilities that are ensuring this. And we will respond to Russian strikes. I thank everyone who is helping.

Коли брали тих північнокорейських солдат в полон, я також був у Курській області. Я памʼятаю як всі у війську обговорювали важливість взяти північнокорейських солдат в полон. Я памʼятаю скільки наших українських хлопців ризикували життям, щоб взяти в полон будь яких північнокорейських солдат. Часто, хлопці з ССО аж занадто ризикували. Ми тоді думали, що коли ми покажемо всьому світу залученість Північної Кореї до війни, як мінімум Південна Корея зрозуміє, що Північна вже тренується воювати і це призведе до збільшення допомоги Україні від Південної Кореї. Проте, як показує час - ми помилились. Південна Корея продає Росії авіаційне паливо, продає верстати для військових виробів та влаштовує справжню антиукраїнську істерику, від того як українці передали їм північнокорейських полонених. Якщо особисто мені в майбутньому, треба буде додатково ризикувати життям щоб взяти в полон північнокорейських солдат - я цього робити не буду. Тільки якщо я буду бачити що вони гарантовано не становлять мені загрози! Додатково ризикувати життям беручи в полон Північнокорейських солдат, щоб що? Щоб Південна Корея потім принижувала мою Україну?!
