happy to share something i’ve been building (and obsessing over) for the last couple months: 🚨 policyradar.in — a daily dashboard for people who care about Indian policy, but hate tracking it. 🧵Here’s what’s new:

None of this treatment was meted to rapists like Asaram Bapu. He was celebrated. Ram Rahim as a convicted rapist gets over a DOZEN paroles. What a country we have become. What a country.

A Typical Day at the BJPee Office.

RT @prapthi_m: This is your reminder, in this overstimulating world, to pause every now and then. Check in with yourself. Breathe mindfully…

From 'Pakistani flag is waved at JNU' to 'Indian flag is waved at Jantar Mantar', we have seen everything in the last 10 years.

RT @VidyaKrishnan: The flags vs uniforms.

I did not know drugs were being sold so openly in Mumbai. There is this small shop near my house that looks very ordinary, but if you say the code word 'pulse', he will bring out this green candy that is so addictive it should be illegal.

To evade arrest, They should have waved Bhagwa flag instead of Tricolour. 🫤

Trespassing gets 5 days judicial custody, assaulting protestors gets bail in 24 hours The Two Indias.

Btw. People are literally getting detained EVEN NOW. Journalist Aditi was picked up couple of minutes ago despite carrying her press card, and is now being taken to Mandir Marg police station.

Someone responsible in Tata group told me TCS managing the electoral data base is not different from TCS managing the entire passport database of the govt. The decision to issue or reject passport is entirely with govt. He was clearly suggesting that the decision to add or delete voters was entirely that of Election Commicsion . Tatas would be scared to say this openly. Only an independent audit, which is opposition demand, will bring this out.

When I was in Tihar jail, An SP from UP had come down to Tihar to interogate me with one of the FIR, During interrogation, He said, I've been following your facebook parody page since 2015 and Loved your Satire. Most of the police men I interacted when in Jail said, Media bikau hai. And that they only follow @ravish_journo and a few said @dhruv_rathee.

Narrowly escaped detention or getting crushed b/w the detention bus, police & IYC workers thanks to ex-Indian Express colleague @raghvendra_rao who pulled me out in the nick of time. Tomorrow we do this again.

RT @Sydusm: Never forget. The current state of the country wouldn't have happened if these two had not supported the sanghis. https://t.co…

The guy who leaked all our personal data and sold it to highest bidder will stop paper leaks just like Aadhaar stop fraud and fixed our voter lists.

Sahil Wakode's father has been detained at Azad Maidan by the Mumbai Police to prevent him from going to IIT Bombay to submit a memorandum to Director Shireesh Kedare. The cowardice of BJP governments is on full display across India today.

lest we forget: neha bora, aishe ghosh and the larger left student body and mobilisation proves effective time and again because of decades of organisational experience and training. it isn't pure luck, or individual quick- thinking.

The dumbest closeted sanghi argument is "the opposition will make a worse government." Then vote them out too bhai. That's the whole point of democracy. That's the very right being taken away from us today. Don't use it as an excuse to defend bjp. We can obv see through it.

Trust a NIMBY Pune 4 kaku who will only take to streets for their precious Law College Road hill to troll a girl barely her daughter's age for kick starting a protest against the basic democratic right. Peak Puneri brahmin talent show.
