Today the IRA pensioners brigade, orchestrated by Spike Murray, will threaten to unravel other parades if they don’t get their way over Drumcree. Another trap they’ve walked into. They might want to go and get some proper legal advice as to how the starting point has now flipped, to the presumption that parade organisers have a choice of location, which can only be dislodged by reaching a high threshold. These ā€˜residents groups’ have hitherto benefitted from that presumption being inverted for the last 3 decades. They can unravel as much as they want; in the end that’s going to do them more harm than those who have properly understood limited their own rights to peaceful assembly in such accommodations.

Agreed!!! Send all the terrorists who turned up home and the OO can thrash it out with the dozen residents that are left .
The only solution to the Drumcree parade dispute is where the Orange Order and the residents of the Garvaghy Road come to an agreement, the Irish foreign affairs minister has said. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/… belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/…

To those abusing Carla Lockhart for her physical appearance I ask this - would you like it or tolerate it if it was your sister, mother or daughter - which Carla is each of those things? The vile scumbags who shouted abuse and to the many online cowards and bullies sharing disgusting images of her just stop!!! But it says more about them than it does of Carla.

Interesting that @naomi_long thinks the Orange Order should walk away with their ā€˜win’ from the court, but she doesn’t call for Sinn Fein & their mob to stop breaking the law & for blocking that very court judgement. Bewildering.
āš ļøšŸ’„NEW DRUMCREE: Naomi Long - Policing operation ā€˜costing millions. Maybe it’s time for the Orange Order to walk away. They’ve got their win.’ šŸŽ„šŸŽ¤Justice Minister and @allianceparty leader @naomi_long says she is very concerned about how much the policing operation at Drumcree, along with court time, is costing. She told Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 that 'we simply don’t have that money' and that it is being taken away ā€œfrom other servicesā€. She made clear that she wants to see a mediated solution, with people able to get back to their normal lives.

Sinn Fein for years while Parades Commission pandered to them - Parades Commission is best thing since sliced bread. Sinn Fein when one decision doesn't go their way - Parades Commission isn't fit for purpose & must go. They then resort to law breaking & still get their own way

No one should be threatening @carlalockhart or any other person. No one should behave like a misogynistic thug. And any party connected with them should remove them swiftly as a member.

Orangemen are praying for those who hate them. They are actually praying for the hate mob. The dignity is genuinely blowing me away. These are fundamentally decent people. Meanwhile the hate-mob continue to revel in their sectarianism, bigotry and uncontrollable rage.

The Portadown District have won. Whatever happens. They have secured the legal right, and so enraged at losing on the law, SF and nationalism has went into a rage fuelled tailspin, and their balaclava has slipped. The ā€˜New Ireland’ project is dead in the water. They surrendered it to oppose 35 mostly elderly and peaceful Orangemen walking peacefully along a traditional route for 14 minutes in silence.

Sinn Fein have dropped the ball politically. The 'New Ireland' debate gains traction had they graciously allowed 35 Orangemen to parade in silence. It becomes a PR win. New Ireland conversations will always return to this showing of intolerance.
