Darryl Cooper (Martyr Made) on the "New Founding" podcast falsely claiming in March of last year that the Nazis were NOT motivated by a belief in Aryan supremacy and fantasies of domination

In that section, he is literally not talking about what you are saying he is talking about. He is talking about Nazi party policy both foreign and domestic. He is talking about their motives, what drove their policy prescriptions. Yes of course part of their motivating force is the rise of communism. Yes of course we can work to better understand the German "side" in the post-WWI world. But to deny, for instance (as he explicitly does when he says "that's just not what happened"), that part of the motivation for seizing power for Hitler and his allies WAS IN FACT extermination of inferior people within the German nation is silly. You're right, I don't have a PhD in Cooper's podcast where he has time to caveat away the implications of what he's put on display in several prominent venues. But in this podcast, he's not just trying to get us to understand the German people, he's talking about THE PARTY'S MOTIVES. Which were, as we both agree, explicitly motives that include the things he handwaves away in this clip and the rest of the podcast. "The average German didn't think they should establish an expansionist empire and exterminate all disfavored people globally" is not news nor is it controversial. The other stuff he says is. But I will gladly concede: if LITERALLY ALL Cooper means is "the mass of ordinary Germans" who voted for Nazis did not do so primarily motivated by BOTH ""white supremacy" or Napoleonic conquest for conquest's sake," then I would agree. I think his claim is quite obviously stronger than that and intends to make the audience more sympathetic to the platform and policies of the early Nazi party, while giving token admissions of "of course the stuff that came after was bad."

That "section" is just a twenty-or-so second clip. It's not even a complete thought. He says "that's not what happened" and then it cuts off. Well, what did happen? The clip includes both "the whole national socialist political movement from its earliest days in the 1920s" language and the "foreign policy" language. The post describing the clip truncates and cherry-picks. Nobody is denying that the Nazis were, like many of the time (and of course more than most) eugenicists. So were the British colonialists. You're overstating the history that the Nazis' Lebensraum project as first proposed involved death camps (which you're adverting to by the word "extermination") or that as later first practiced did not principally involve ghettoization and displacement—which was an aim of several post World War I bandits and governments after the postwar fall of the prewar multi-ethnic empires. Our World War II ally Stalin displaced ethnic Poles from Ukraine and Belarus. Most of these displacements, the Nazis' included, foreseeably and intentionally killed and starved masses of men. It hardly makes it right, but mass murder was commonplace in early 20th-century Europe and so was starvation. The German people themselves starved during and shortly after World War I from an allied blockade. The Russian people starved. The Ukrainians starved. And where people starved, often the dominant militaries and militias redirected food to themselves and their confederates. Hence the Bolshevik Cheka in the Russian countryside during the Russian civil war, for example. And compared to whether the Nazis were racists, it certainly is news to the average American that the "average German" was not a genocidal freak. The Zionist myth of World War II, which tries to explain the pogroms to Kristallnacht to the camps, is that the average German was. The average American surely has no idea what the Nazis ran on in '32. And, the news about the "average German" *is* controversial. If the willingness of "average Germans" to vote for a Nazi party in '32 hostile to Jews is *not* entirely explained by the "average German's" genocidal bloodlust, it may in some part be explained by the prominence of Jewish leadership in the bloody interwar (and for Germany, intra-war) communist revolutions. That's controversial of course because uncharitable objectors cry that to claim that is to say the Jews murdered in the death camps "deserved it," which is a wildly scurrilous mischaracterization. The claim is just an attempt to describe actual causes for actual effects. Darryl is not going to give "token admission" to the Holocaust being bad. He's going to give due regard to World War I and the communist revolutions being bad and also horribly violent for ordinary and civilian Europeans and Russians. As for your concession, if you're conceding that the "mass of ordinary Germans" who voted for Nazis in '32 were not motivated by the more belligerent and genocidal aims of the Nazi state in, say, the mid-40s, then you're conceding the possibility that the "platform and policies" of the early Nazi party may have been less diabolical in comparison to those of the latter Nazi government even though you say that you're not. We can't have it both ways. The progression of Nazi aims, again, would make more sense than, as Darryl counterfactually posits, a rather cosmopolitan German citizenry just waking up one day in the '30s and deciding to exterminate European Jewry because of German DNA Adolf Levin identifies as some sort of hostile threat to a chosen race of people (does *that* sound familiar?). Levin is what happens when you let myths go unchallenged by facts.

In this clip he is talking about the “driving force in the motives of the third reich’s international and domestic policy.” Not why they won seats, their driving motives. I’m very comfortable putting expansion, Aryan supremacy, and antisemitism on the list of those motives 🙂

I just said this: "Of course [Darryl] says that Nazis were motivated by dislike of Jews and (like many in the 1930s, actually) eugenics." Some random twenty-second clip of Darryl from the account "Jesus Hates Hitler" happens to omit this mantra everybody knows already so he's a horrible man? What we doin' here? In the clip, Darryl is talking about a "driving force." He's talking about "the whole national socialist political movement, from its earliest days in the 1920s . . . ." He's talking about how to explain where it came from and where it wound up: the "driving force." The "force" that "drove" it through history, and he's saying that it is not properly summed up as "white supremacy" or Napoleonic conquest for conquest's sake. And, he's absolutely talking about the mass of ordinary Germans who by a plurality first voted the Nazis into power in '32. The explicit theme of his recent podcast series, which he's talking about in the cited clip, is to examine the Second World War from the perspective of ordinary Germans. His explicit aim is to pierce the obvious myth that the sufficient or even principal reason the Nazis came to power in Germany is the German people's spontaneous or latent Jew hatred. We have Mark Levin literally saying in public that Jew hatred is in the "goyim's" DNA and that that's why people oppose Israel. That's just the World War II myth generalized: that history goes bad when so-called "anti-semitism" (a term popularized by a Zionist trying to get Jews to leave the nations and come to Palestine) is fanned and goes good when it is violently combated. That the "driving force" of history is how well the Jews are regarded by the nations. It's not "all about the Jews all the time." It's okay to understand the actual history leading into and through World War II. Don't you agree? It's okay to consider whether violent communism in interwar Europe accounts for a greater share of the actual cause of the Nazis' ascendance—and perhaps even their later war aims like the invasion of the communist Soviet Union—than the Levin thesis of Jew hatred baked into the German genetics, yes? Maybe you could consider being a little less reflexively hostile to every twenty-second clip of Cooper that falls into your feed and just listen to his podcast series. You can start at the first minute and stop the minute he makes a false factual historical claim.

I'm not suggesting it. I know what he says on this subject inside and out. He's got dozens of hours talking about it. The point is that the Nazi party did not get a plurality of votes in the '32 election because the German people wanted to conquer Europe for the white race.

Ben Affleck reveals he writes Python, understands convolutional neural networks, worked extensively with GPUs, and used his celebrity status to get private looks at Google and OpenAI’s video models “I’ve always been kind of into computers since I was young. Then, when film started to move from analog film to digital, I became more interested in that aspect of it. The visual-effects workflow for many years has included machine learning, so I can write pretty shitty Python scripts and stuff like that. “With convolutional neural networks, which were the precursors to what the transformer can do, which is much more computation simultaneously, you would do things like look at what’s called a tensor. That’s the numerical translation of a visual image in numbers, like the batch number, the frame number and the red, green and blue values of each pixel in each frame. It’s just that simple. That numeric is called a tensor. “You’d use a convolutional neural network to identify patterns that reveal what’s called edge detection or feature extraction, which is identifying patterns well enough to know, this is where the window ledge is, so we can more easily take the green-screen image out and replace it with something. “That was familiar to me early on because, prior to Artists Equity, I had a small visual-effects company. I’ve worked with GPUs a lot too. The visual-effects guys said, ‘Hey, you should see. There are a couple: Google and this other company, OpenAI, are doing really interesting stuff with transformers in video.’ “I’ve learned that I can actually just call up and go, ‘Hey, it’s Ben Affleck. Can I come see what you’re doing?’ Sometimes people say yes, to my astonishment.”
$ANET Andy Bechtolsheim says AI has made optics demand about 10 times bigger in five years and the industry is only at the "very beginning" "So I guess I don't need to tell you that AI has been driving this incredible increase in demand for high-speed optics, which is probably now 10 times bigger than it used to be five years ago..." "And what I want to talk to you today is that we're not at the end of this journey, but rather the very beginning. There's easily another order of magnitude increase in bits needed for the next generation kind of data centers." "So what I want to talk about first is what's happening at the data center level, and how we as an industry have to get together to solve these problems of this very rapid and high demand growth as fast as possible, since AI can't wait." ______ For full set of takeaways to Andy's AI Datacenter and Optics lecture: firesidealpha.substack.com/p…

This is my point. Finally more are getting it:
Sure. Of course. But again, the men were heroes according to the consent-based sexual morality into which they were inculcated. They obtained consent, according to the whore, sex act by sex act, restraining their impulses while ranging beyond bourgeois sexuality with the continual permission of the "enlightened woman" and for her pleasure. So while I condemn the men and even condemn them for immorality, I mostly condemn them for imprudence and really have little appetite to condemn them nearly as harshly as the whore.

Naftali Bennett has branded one of the most influential Haredi rabbis in Israel, Dov Lando, as “antisemitic” What did Rabbi Lando say to earn this label? Lando proclaimed: “It’s possible, without a state [of Israel], to live well with the Arabs… to live, to respect the Arabs. It was pretty good when the Arabs were in charge. It was the best situation.” He added that the Zionists “made Arabs hate us.“ Lando went on to call for a peace deal with the Palestinians, and slammed Zionism for having “brought the physical disasters, not just the spiritual ones, to the Jewish people.” For these clear-eyed statements, Lando has become a public enemy denounced by politicians across the Zionist spectrum. The lesson is clear: even a senior rabbi is one of The Antisemites if he refuses to bow before the state of Israel and its genocidal army.
