He then watched to see what would happen. This is what he writes: "The butterfly emeged from the cocoon, spread its wings, dropped perceptibly-AND DIED" why? Because the butterfly needed the struggle. The pain and that tedious work were necessary.

"Will BE.."? Or ALREADY Colonialized?
Mahama notes that Africa's borrowing costs are "eight times more expensive than the rest of the world," forcing the continent into a debt trap. Thomas Sankara was right that debt will be another form by which Africa will be colonized again.

We should REDESIGNATE 9 OCTOBER from INDEPENDENCE DAY TO KABALEGA DAY... And use it to RE-KINDLE PAN-AFRICANISM and Regional and Continental UNITY.
For five straight years, one Ugandan king held off the British Empire with a fraction of its weapons, and Uganda spent most of the 20th century pretending it hadn't happened. Kabalega became Omukama of Bunyoro in 1870 at 16 and spent his reign rebuilding it into one of the dominant kingdoms in the Great Lakes region, built on trade through the Kibiro saltworks and territory that expanded as far as Toro, Nkole, and Rwanda. When Britain declared war on Bunyoro in 1894, Kabalega refused to simply surrender his kingdom the way neighboring rulers had. He retreated and ran a guerrilla resistance for five years, forcing Britain to lean on Buganda and Sudanese mercenaries just to keep up the fight. He was finally wounded, captured in an ambush in 1899, and exiled first to Kismayo, then to the Seychelles, where he spent the next 24 years. He never stopped resisting from exile either, writing letters and petitions against colonial rule the entire time. In 1923, Britain finally allowed him to return home. He died in Jinja before he made it back across the border. For decades afterward, Uganda built no monuments to him, named no roads after him. He was only formally declared a national hero in 2009, 86 years after he died trying to get home to the kingdom he never stopped fighting for.

That's fine, he did well. So let's put his ACHIEVEMENTS against his MESS on a WEIGHING SCALE ⚖️ MINZANI: 22 Regional Hospitals.... vs IDI AMIN& 1981 war... Btw, funny thing is, even NRM is part of OBOTE LEGACY; 🫣🤫😎!

I think Obote was actually a decent human being who got overwhelmed by the contradictions of a neo-colonial state. Many og these INDEPENDENCE leaders were not ideologically deep! And it is not their fault; it is the fault of history/ the times & COLONIALITY. That's is why he takes pride in the ABROGATION OF THE 1962 Constitution. For him, and, sadly, you, @rwomchechen, ARBITRARILY destroying the FEDERATION ARRANGEMENT is a great achievement! Using the Army illegally to achieve this is an achievement for you? Using the Army(Idi Amin) to attack his PRESIDENT(Muteesa) and driving him to Exile where he died is an ACHIEVEMENT? Those you call achievements Produced AMIN, CAUSED 1980 WAR, AND WE STILL LIVE IN THE SHADOWS OF THAT MADNESS!
The Dr Obote achievements the NRA occupation #alnakba can't erase. Never @sejudav

10bn, hahaha! Let me break my Oath of not mentioning my personal things on X. My whole retirement package, pension etc, for 46 years of FIGHTING for Uganda was 1.2bn...ONE.. not TEN... One, off...(which some people make in one day). No medical cover, no Car, no House, no furniture, etc.. like they give those civilian retirees/Judges, Prime Minister, Vice...They even take them abroad for medical care, for us, NOTHING...!! One(1bn)...for 50 YEARS OF FIGHTING...The records are there in DEFENCE &FINANCE...go check it.... And my compatriots, who fought for 50year, 30,...even retired with less..... That is the life of a soldier!!! PATRIOTS PAR EXCELLENCE....

And for you, every NRA officer must be poor? We worked for FREE for 5 years of War; no pay, no food, no drugs, and burying comrades EVERYDAY! Then we came and were paid peanuts.. Until your system went Capitalist; privatised, allowed OFFICERS TO DO BUSINESS, which was ILLEGAL UNDER NRA LAW.. So tbose offices have been EARNING A LIVING FOR 40 YEARS, 30, 20...getting paid.... Some as MPs, others are ambassadors, others are Senior Commanders, etc, for 20, 30, 40 years. And also doing Business...; For us, ORIGINAL NRA, IT WAS ILLEGAL TO ANGAGE IN BUSINESS...Your politicians removed it....so Soldiers also became TRADERs LIKE YOU.... But despite all this, for you, every officer who has land, good house and a car is a thief? Yet, you fellows come and become Ministers, MPs, PSs, Commissioners, etc for just 10 years and you drive nice cars, build hotels & fly 1st class. But an officer who has served his country for 40 , 30, 20 years should remain poor? Need to work on your analytics!

I thought you went to the bush to improve on your economic status through stealing ofcourse. Tell me an NRA fighter at a command level without square miles of land plus posh houses and cars?

Just foolish talk! Ask those in the know since you seem to be ignorant. When I had issues& went to Exile, government spent 6 months, yes, 6 months, AUDING/ investigating my operations from the time was commanding the Army; then as a minister in Defence, and as Cordinator of Intel%Security where I served for 8 years; know what- NOTHING.... Reason I never was sent to Luzira for corruption/ Stealing your money, fellow! So don't think everyone in NRA/NRM is a thief - That is enemy talk.... So so some research, if can read ofcse!
But Gen, the theft and all you’re talking about, you partook and with soooo much impunity but we didn’t get here coz we had so much money coming in through what that bill closed out. If we were serious as a country, could you survive a corruption investigation?

Now, this time, I'm not concerned with the arguments surrounding the Number Plate& tracking etc. My question is policy issue: Why did government not consider giving a Ugandan-Wavamunno a RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL(ROFR)? Or require a joint venture with him by whoever else was coming in because he had a standing contract of making numbers. I would wish Parliament went beyond just the operational aspects TO AWARDING OF THE CONTRACT. WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE? Can it hear from Mr. WAVAMUNNO?
He doesn't deserve is but we deserve him,, we warned us already but we don't listen,,we thought with Jim Muhwezi this thing would work

EBOLA is still spreading like wild fire in Ituri Province/North Kivu....in DRC. While our systems seem to be holding, the THREAT IS STILL POTENT. Now Kenya.... Why has the campaign stopped like the danger is over? BECAUSE IT IS NOT OVER!
Kenya has confirmed its first imported case of Ebola (Bundibugyo virus disease), and the patient has died. The Ministry of Health says the man, a Kenyan who had lived in the DRC for seven years, travelled by road to Kampala and then flew to Nairobi on Saturday, October 3. #NTVNews
