We recalled the school board and brought algebra back in historic landslide wins. Our work has ended and we’re closing down. This account is now dormant.
Wild grift for SF School Board— kind of the garden variety one that Jo Boaler and anti-math educrats seem to love
Vote out Matt Alexander, anti-math, anti-achievement
. @mattalexandersf oversaw the board’s retroactive approval, without discussion, of a no-bid contract that has close ties to Alexander’s former colleagues at the district, including those who have donated to his campaigns.

Let's review @mattalexandersf's pattern of persistent disregard for legal processes, policies, or norms as a Board of Education commissioner, vice president, & now president -- a 🧵
Let's stay focused: the problem here is @mattalexandersf's persistent pattern of refusing to believe that legal processes, policies, or norms apply to him.
@SFunified needs four new BOE commissioners who will follow the law, policies, & norms of a well-run school district.

As a member of the public, I have reviewed contracts big and small. As Board of Education Commissioner, I would have raised the red flag and voted against it. What a bad look in this time of so much budget pain to schools.

@GaybrahamLinco was front and center during the school board recall, and @rayforboe and I were right there with him, advocating for change. Recently, we had a great conversation with Gaybraham about our school board campaigns and the vision we have for SFUSD. We’ve been fighting for our schools long before we decided to run, and now we're ready to take that next step. Let’s keep the momentum going and make SFUSD a place where students thrive and teachers are supported. Vote for Supryia and me this November! We are the 2 endorsed by @sfguardians#RecallToReform#SFUSDFuture#LeeforSchoolBoard
@GaybrahamLinco was front and center during the school board recall, and I stood right there with him, advocating for change. We recently had a great conversation about my campaign and vision for SFUSD. One of the things I’m most proud of is our amazing, free language immersion programs. These offerings can encourage more parents to send their kids to SFUSD by providing unique opportunities for students. I’m ready to keep fighting for programs like this to ensure SFUSD thrives. Vote for me this November! #RecallToReform#SFUSDFuture#LeeforSchoolBoard@sfguardians@rayforboe
I've been out meeting voters and knocking on doors across San Francisco this week! From Crocker Amazon with EJ for Supervisor, to connecting with residents in Richmond and Noe Valley, and having great conversations along with Sheriff Miyamoto in Fillmore, it’s been inspiring to hear from so many people passionate about improving our public schools and the future of our city. Please join me for a few hours and let’s keep this momentum going! #LeeForSchoolBoard#CommunityFirst#SFUSD#BuildingTogether
Two years ago, I was on the frontlines of the SFUSD recall, collecting hundreds of signatures because our kids deserved better. The frustration that fueled the recall hasn’t gone away—SFUSD still needs real accountability and leadership that will actually get things done. That’s why @sfguardians, @ConnectedSF, and the Chinese American Democratic Club (@sf_cadc), all of whom backed the recall, are supporting me for School Board. If you were frustrated enough to vote for the recall, you likely know how things are still not working well, and now is the time for you to get your voice heard. Vote for me, and let’s make real, lasting change in our schools.

Can school closures ever benefit students?
In Denver, that's exactly what happened.
If we must close schools in SF, let's take a close look at how Denver did it.
Conventional wisdom is that school closures are bad for students, but evidence does not show this.
Latest research out of Denver, on their portfolio reforms, finds huge positive effects for students whose low-performing schools close. @MichaelPetrillicpr.org/2024/09/23/denver-pu…
So proud of the San Franciscans who took action to improve our school district curriculum. Now, their courageous efforts will benefit students at the state level.
Wow - thank you @sfguardians !
