In 2014, we were told staying in the UK meant 'better protection' for Scottish pensioners. Now Andy Burnham wants to axe their pensions triple lock to fund free personal care, which is already available in Scotland, south of the border. The price of Westminster control.

How can BBC Scotland go back six years to find footage of Nicola Sturgeon making a pledge about young people in care but can't go back five months to find footage of Anas Sarwar pledging GB Energy would create 53,000 new Scottish jobs?

£100 a week just to put diesel in the car so I can get to work. A hundred quid. Every single week. From Monday 28th September through to Saturday 31st October that's £500 gone on fuel alone. Half a grand. The energy companies are stuffing billions into their pockets from people like me. The fat cats get fatter. I get poorer and this government couldn't give a shite. That's the country we're living in. I'm literally just forgotten about.

At the end of Louis Theroux's documentary he has to hide from the IDF as they are hunting Palestinians and he suspects they might kill him too. Theroux says, "Can we ring the Police." And the Palestinian laughs, there is no one who will protect them from Israel.
