No. DRIPA is ordinary BC provincial legislation from 2019. The legislature can repeal or amend it by majority vote like any other statute. No legal requirement exists for Indigenous approval to do so. First Nations strongly oppose repeal politically, and consultation often occurs, but Section 35 constitutional rights remain either way.

If these numbers continue to stay on this trajectory, pedestrians that are injured will be left destitute without the ability to pay for Doctor recommended care.
If these numbers continue to stay on this trajectory, the people that profit from automobile accidents will be very disappointed.

Sounds like Trumps medical insurance plan. Cheap but useless.
A good day to ponder what an amazing deal B.C. residents have enjoyed thanks to public auto insurance. Avg nominal premiums are no higher than 9 years ago when J.Horgan was elected, vs 45% avg increase in Canada and 119% in next-door Alberta. Data from StatsCan. #bcpoli

People who openly praised this still have senior positions in Canadian academia, non-profits and unions. One of them is running for re-election on Victoria City Council.
If you have forgotten this video, you have likely forgotten October 7th.

This is one of the reasons why David Eby called the election

Probably the fiscal situation is so dire that there is no choice but to cut next year. Austerity now makes an election in 2 years difficult, but 4 years from now, long forgotten.

The BC NDP campaign, summarized: 1. Trump. 2. "Screw Jimmy Pattison" 3. Highest income tax rates on earth? 4. "God, our health care sucks we're going to get someone on that."

Ever noticed the NDP has one solution to every problem? Unfortunately for you, it’s taking more of your hard-earned money. It’s time for fresh ideas to tackle the issues we face in BC.

The BCNDP screwed up everything they touched. Every single thing
MoveUP has learned that Interim Conservative Leader Lorne Doerkson has pledged privately to the trial lawyers and the private insurance industry to overhaul BC’s insurance industry with a plan that would double rates for drivers. #bclab #bcpoli #bcelxn moveuptogether.ca/the-latest…

Don't fall for it. It is based onthe "Finance Canada's Equalization Worksheets:
Additional context regarding BC tax rates: across all major revenue sources, the province is the second lowest tax jurisdiction in Canada overall. Roughly 17% below the national average.

BCNDP today
Conservatism today: BC worker earning $80k paying lowest income tax in Canada = communism Alberta worker earning $80k paying more income tax than in BC = freedom

And, according to my prelim research, B.C. would have the highest combined top marginal personal income tax rate in the world, excluding payroll and social security levies.

That statement shows incompetence. In 2023 we had no debt from Operations (staffing). Now we have $33.4B. Yet things are getting worse. Why?
With no tax increase. How?

Most people impacted by the proposed @bcndp tax would be seniors, not “workers”. It’s a death tax. If you die with registered retirement saving they all becomes income in one year. Similar with small family businesses and family farms.

Eby fearmongers about healthcare cuts. But it’s his government that cancelled the healthcare projects BC desperately needed. Unlike the NDP, a Conservative government will NOT cut healthcare.

You know what is a dumb move? Pretending a vote for OneBC isn't a vote for Eby, then somehow blaming the BC Conservatives.
BC POLITICS: We could be about to witness one of the dumbest political moves in our history. 1. Eby gets himself voted out by unnecessarily calling an election. 2. The BC Conservatives lose a majority by failing to make a deal that would have prevented vote-splitting on the right.

Yet his AG purposely blocked the charges against samidoun from moving forward. The bcndp are full of extremist radicals
The current conservative leader had the chance to remove extremist candidates from his team, and he didn't. He's welcoming people with hateful views in his party and he intends to put them in positions of power. That's not just wrong, it's a profound mistake.

Sorry, but the narrative for the rest of this campaign is that Eby's snap election caught so many people off guard that not even his own party was able to get its paperwork in order before the deadline. But the Conservatives did. Somehow. Despite being in supposed chaos. And being unreliable. This is a disaster. #bcpoli
NEW - The @bcndp say they were unable to field a full slate of candidates in their own snap election. 92 of 93 ridings. The party did not get the paperwork complete for Peace River North, where @JordanKealyPRN is running as an independent. The @BCConservCaucus nominated 93 candidates.
