Nothing says Vancouver summer like Kits Pool. But this year it didn’t open until June 17th, weeks after other pools in the region. And you still needed a reservation to get in, a leftover from COVID that’s hardest on seniors and families with kids. An ABC Park Board will bring back 100% drop-in at Kits Pool, properly staffed. No reservations. Just show up and swim. Let’s #freekitspool Vote ABC on October 17th. #vanpoli #kitsilano #parkboard #abcvancouver

You did not need a reservation to get in. The fact that you don’t know this basic detail (or are willing to lie about it) alone makes you unqualified for this position.

If he’s that valuable then they don’t need to trade him
If EP40 can play like this this for just half the season…imagine what he’ll be worth at the deadline #canucks Reminder…1st line centers are getting $15+ mill per year now

Time to start the exit plan.
Insane. Tax hikes for condo developers, tax hikes for out of province owners of real estate, going after oil companies and grocers. He has gone full on Mandami. BC is finished economically if they re-elect this guy.

It’s actually because the Oilers are a good team and the Canucks are one of the worst teams in the league, because they’re actively rebuilding. Surprised you didn’t know that

If you know Jack, you know the freak injuries that have plagued him — and the perception that he’s injury-prone — are something he doesn’t find funny.
Jack Hughes was jokingly asked about being put in bubble wrap and using plastic cutlery after his off-ice injury at a team dinner last season... And he was having NONE of it 😭😬

Yep. Fix pools, restore community centres, repair roads and sidewalks. That’s what Vancouver elects a council to do. If Fry and COPE want to fight federal policy, they can run federally. City Hall has enough work to do here.
Please see my statement on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Pacific Link pipeline announcement.

They passed the largest capital investment in community centres. Planning a pool for South Van, the side of Vancouver cope and fry never set foot in. And introduced the largest sidewalk and road repair. So not sure what you’re referring too

I think he’s referring to the fact that Vancouver city pools are in terrible condition and underfunded. But this is probably the fault of the NGOs right 😂

Justice Murray ignored the law, did something akin to jury nullification- Justice nullification! It is against the law to buy and sell illegal drugs. Murray doesn't get to circumvent the law because she is all up in her feelings. Her job is to uphold the law not nullify it
Please see my statement regarding the Drug User Liberation Front (DULF) ruling.

the literal point of a constitutional challenge is to challenge legislation as being in breach of constitutional rights, so no, she was not circumventing the law.

But have you considered that she did justice nullification

Great to be at the @DowntownVan mayoral forum today, talking about the future of our city with my fellow candidates. Downtown Van led the charge this summer as we hosted FIFA and launched the Granville pedestrian zone, and they work every day for our businesses and a thriving downtown. We'll keep standing with them. A lot of people are ready to throw up their hands and accept that things can't change. I don't believe that. We have more work to do, and I know Vancouver is ready for it. On October 17, vote YES on the Public Safety Plebiscite and vote ABC Vancouver for Mayor, Council, Park Board and School Board. Together, we'll build the Vancouver we all want. Safe. Affordable. Packed businesses, families out on our streets, and real hope for what comes next. We're going to get there. #ABCVancouver #PublicSafety #Affordability

Mayor @KenSimCity is often misunderstood, and he'll be the first to tell you that. Instead of coming from a life of privilege, his family struggled when he was growing up, like many. At ABC, we are focused on building a better Vancouver: safe, affordable and thriving. #vanpoli
A whole campaign built around the slogan “Evict Ken Sim” to viciously malign him. “Scapegoating the poor and homeless. You know, that was us.” When Ken holds an “Evict Ken Sim” button, it hits hard. His family faced real evictions and financial instability over and over again, growing up as immigrants with little to their name. And the family who lived through those struggles with him didn’t sign up for these personal attacks. Ken got into politics so his kids, and other kids growing up in Vancouver, have a chance to build a future here. That’s why safety and affordability are at the heart of ABC Vancouver’s campaign. The full change we all wanted hasn’t happened yet. There is still more work to do. The Public Safety Plebiscite is the next step on safety: stronger City laws against open-air hard drug use and a call for secure medical treatment, including voluntary and 100+ involuntary care beds. On affordability, it means a 0% property tax increase, help for families and a thriving economy where people can earn enough to get by and build a future here. Real change takes leadership that can face difficult battles and even brutal personal attacks that hit closer to home than you would ever want and keep going. Because Vancouver is worth it. #ABCVancouver #PublicSafety #Affordability

While some have a narrative about @KenSimCity this is his story and when you talk to him this is what drives him.

My “narrative” about him is he uses AI to do his job, never shows up to meetings, can’t keep the pools opened, jacked up parking costs, and is more interested in going to Bon Jovi and World Cup parties than doing his work.
