Tomorrow, our boy flies in from Utah to be with us as we release our old girl across the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday. I humbly ask for prayers and good wishes for us; she's been a part of our family for almost 15 1/2 years, and this will be impossibly difficult. Thank you all.

There is not @MarkKaboly. Pizza is a cultural identifier. When people defend a style of pizza, they are often defending their neighborhood, hometown or even their identity. My grandmother came from a small village in Calabria called Strongoli; to me her pizza was perfection however likely to everyone else it's an oddity. The sauce is kneaded into the dough, so are elderberry buds and anchovies. To me it is "the best" pizza and when I make it, it puts me back into her home, helping her do it. So remember that when people get all defensive about their pizza, yes, of course it has to do with taste, but it also has to do with nostalgia and a connection to a place and a a time that they want to live on forever in their life.
