Anybody else understand how bad “curvature assist” is in TACC mode on a legacy Model S? Hitting the brakes for a slight curve or hill is crazy. Almost got rear-ended 😡

About ready to go back to vacuum powered cruise control. So fricken' sick of "what's wrong now? Why can't i diagnose this at home? Why can't I change/upgrade this without bricking my car?" Just about had enough....ALL brands. Will be reposting this truck until I own it.😤

My 17 X does it sometimes when it’s a straight away. I love brake checking people for zero reason that I can’t turn off

Legacy MS really requires a learned skillset to handle - honestly. I know, I have a 2015 MS

It is horrible, reminds me of 2019 FSD.

The UNECE regulations mandate the car to slow down for corners as they don't allow the car to experience certain forces But I notice you're in the US so this doesn't apply. 🤔

Autopilot on 2012-2017 Model S/X isn’t great. FSD runs way better on those models, and only on HW3 upgraded cars. That said, my 2017 HW3 upgraded Model X drives me to and from work every day with almost zero interventions.

Yep. I always thought they’d update to a watered down FSD to handle what AP or TACC does. No wonder they discontinued. My food was always hovering over the accelerator when using AP

They really fubard TACC and autosteer and then completely abandoned it all. Slowing for emergency lights when there are no emergency lights is another one.

It genuinely ruined TACC/Autosteer in my S. My one safety blanket when FSD stopped being usable, and they ruined it. 🙃

Mine is HW4 and it slams the brakes all the time when I’m in the thru lane going past a turning lane. No curve necessary. It’s complete garbage. No idea why it can’t be shut off

HW3 FSD does that on high speed curves too.

Yes!! I get that alllll the time on arrow straight roads with cruise control on. It’s beyond annoying

I've got a 2024 M3P. Same crap! Infuriating. Why oh why can I not turn off the curvature assist???!!!

Added in 2016, another reason sometimes I prefer my 2015 AP1 to 2016 HW3 FSD.

I turned on autopilot for the first time in my 2019 Model 3 last week. I won't do that again!

Yeah, I get why they killed off AP. For the most part it is good, but when you’re going fast on a curvy road, it can do some weird stuff.

Base AP used to be like that. FSD took it to a new level in early days
