Make America Great Again #homesteading #carnivore Jesus Christ is Lord

My anthem this week. Not because it's combative but because it reminds me of a day and time when I was sure America was the best country in the history of ever. I was naive, yes, but I still believe she can be... this week I am more sure than ever that she will be again!!! We’re on it, Mr. President! The places and waters that border our nation and support our economy should reflect the greatness of the United States. @USGS maps our country for the world to see, and we are PROUD to implement your Executive Order to rename LAKE AMERICA. 🇺🇸

Hey FAFO Family, Our neighbor is a volunteer firefighter battling this fire right now. Many homesteads and ranches are having to relocate their livestock. We agreed to take in livestock on our back 5 acres that we dont currently use and they should start arriving tomorrow. If not, thursday. Right now it is 3 horses and 30 goats. We are asking for any donation to help buy hoses to run a water line to the back of the property. You can donate to our Venmo @FAFOFarmsTX
HAMILTON COUNTY, TEXAS: The Rio Escondido Fire has grown to an estimated 2,000 acres. Some residents near Evant, Texas, were forced to flee their homes. The fire is spreading north and west along highway 281 in the direction of #Hamilton, Texas. INFO: kwtx.com/2026/08/24/resident…

We might be taking in 30 goats and 3 horses being evacuated from the fires here. Only problem, we don't have enough hose line to reach the back 5 acres anymore, since we lost 5 hoses last summer. If you know folks with extra hoses in the Gatesville area please let us know.

Call me whatever name you want, but I think having a black racist and a white racist on the same show made for some of the funniest scenes in American television history.

In the soundtrack of my life, Dolly Parton songs are woven into almost every chapter. ❤️ I fondly remember being a little girl, singing every song from her ‘Here You Come Again’ album on my Mickey Mouse record player. I’d grab my hairbrush, use it as a microphone, and sing every word with all my heart. It drove my little brother absolutely crazy… and I was perfectly okay with that. To this day, I don’t think a week goes by that I don’t listen to Dolly. Her music has been a constant companion through so many seasons of my life. And just recently, I “sang” a Dolly song with a friend who is an actual singer. I was terrible, but it will always be one of those memories that makes me smile. And speaking of memories, thank you, Dolly, for giving us so many. But Dolly’s gift was never just her music. She was funny, quick-witted, warm, joyful, kind, and somehow always seemed to make people feel a little happier just by being herself. She carried her incredible success with humility and a sense of humor, and she reminded us that you can be enormously talented without ever losing your kindness. May we all strive to leave a little more laughter, kindness, happiness and love behind us, just as Dolly did. Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, and most of all, the memories. ❤️🎶

I'm just so glad she's back home with her momma tonight.
In 1990, Dolly Parton went on vacation in Ireland. She walked into a local pub in County Kerry and delivered a flawless performance of Coat of Many Colors. A heart of pure gold who made people smile across oceans.

@SecVetAffairs Why are women in hijabs serving at VA hospitals? This is almost as dumb as it is disrespectful.
Pissed off the Omaha VA today. I’m having surgery on 1 Sep. went to see the internalist and the anesthesiologist. First internalist was ok. Then came in the overseer wearing a hijab. I stood up, asked her to leave and find another Dr. She asked why. I explained that I was about to slap the hijab off her. Security came in, I explained the situation. He asked how many tours. I told him 3.5 because of an IED. He looked at the Doc, asked if I touched or threatened her, she said No, he just requested another Dr. He said “Well, get another Dr then!” Fucking hijab wearing sand person attending to GWOT vets. Good call VA.

I always understood why the Second Amendment was constitutionally protected. What I never really understood was why people called it a natural right. Then I moved from New York to Florida. I didn’t own a gun yet. One afternoon I was loading things into the trunk of my car outside a HomeGoods when a man approached me. “Excuse me.” He must have thought he’d startled me, because he immediately added, “Don’t worry. I’m not going to get close.” I laughed. “I’m a New Yorker. I’m used to close. How can I help you?” He started telling me that he needed money for gas. At some point while he was talking, I got into my car. And sitting there, with the conversation still unfolding, I suddenly realized something: He didn’t know whether I had a gun. Not somewhere at home. Not hypothetically. For all he knew, I could have had one right there in the car, tucked under the steering wheel or within reach. I didn’t. But he couldn’t know that. Schrödinger’s gun. And in that instant, before I even knew whether his story was true, something changed in the space between us. I thought about New York. I thought about my friend who had been murdered in his own apartment during a burglary gone wrong. Would those men have gone into his apartment if they had believed he might be armed? I don’t know. I thought about the time I was mugged at gunpoint, with a gun pressed against my temple. Would that man have approached me with the same confidence if he had believed there was even a possibility that I could defend myself? I don’t know that either. But sitting there in that Florida parking lot, listening to this stranger talk, I suddenly understood deterrence in a way I never had before. Not as military theory. Not as constitutional law. As something intimate. My body. My life. The few feet between one person and another. For years I had thought about guns primarily as objects: who had one, who shouldn’t have one, what laws should govern them. Suddenly I understood the question from the other direction. What changes when another person cannot simply assume that I am defenseless? I felt taller. Not because I had a gun. I didn’t. But because, for the first time, I understood that someone approaching me could not automatically assume that being physically stronger meant having power over me. There was uncertainty. There was a boundary around my body that had to be taken seriously. Then his story began to fall apart. I told him I didn’t have cash, but offered to help another way. I could put some gas in his car. He took off. So apparently, yes, it was a scam. But by then I had already understood something much larger than the scam. The phrase natural right finally made sense to me. The Constitution had not given me ownership of my body. It had not given me my life. It had not invented my right to protect either one. Those things came first. What I understood that afternoon was the thing underneath them. I had once been completely helpless while another human being held a gun against my temple. Years later, without a gun in my possession at all, I understood what it meant for the person approaching me not to know whether I was helpless. That uncertainty changed the space between us. And that was the moment I finally understood the natural right behind the Second Amendment: My life is mine, and the right to defend it has to exist before anyone gives me permission to do so.

In 2013, I took my mom to Dollywood. My mom claimed over and over that we were going to see Dolly. I kept telling her that she doesn't just hang out all day to say hi to every guest. Of course, all of a sudden a golf cart comes out. My mom gloated forever.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library was the best contribution to child literacy ever made by a celebrity. Our paths crossed once, in the 90s, backstage at a talk show, and I was completely tongue-tied and starstruck. RIP Dolly. You were a complete, irreplaceable one-off.

I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet, but getting this note from Dolly really had a an impact on me. She definitely didn't have to take the time to do it. Even for a kid who mostly listened to rap music, she was an icon. A superstar in every sense. Rest easy Dolly. And thank you for the kind words.

I just saw this at a traffic light, and I wanted to share a photo I took because I think it demonstrates a perfect distillation of the Leftist mind. On the left side is a symbol of radical violence. On the right side is a traditional symbol of peace. How is it possible for a human being who is smart enough to obtain a driver's license and own a car to embrace such wholly contrary concepts all at once? ANSWER: Because to a Leftist, all of their ideas are virtuous, so violence in the pursuit of virtue equals peace. Let me say that again: Violence is peace. Anybody seen George Orwell around lately?
