"I'm happy to say I feel better about the second half of my life than the first. My advice: Don't beat yourself up over past mistakes – learn at least a little from them and move on. It is never too late to improve ... it's never too late to change." – From Buffett's final annual letter I started following Buffett when I was just a teenager. I learned a lot about investing, but even more so about life. It's never too late to change.

You don't have to commit your entire life to optimism, just try it on for a week. Start thinking "what if it all worked out?" and "what a time to be alive!". Then compare your state of mind to the week before filled with pessimism and doomer nonsense.

Not the most competitive 5K race ever, but finished 8/3121 overall and set a PB Was hoping for a bigger PB - went about 34 seconds faster than previous best after about 8 months of training
Racing my second-ever 5K tomorrow. 4,000 entries PB: 20:20 in Nov 2025 (brand new to running) Trained pretty consistently since. Zero endurance background What time and place is reasonable to expect tomorrow morning?

This is why I have to track my food when I’m training a lot. I felt like I ate plenty yesterday. Without tracking, I would’ve thought I did, but instead I knew I was way under. I was able to enough/more this morning before my long run to help a bit.
