Strong winds were forecasted today in Alberta.
At 2 p.m. today, semi-trailers were being blown off the road in Leduc.
These winds delayed the Alberta independence rally by one hour.
Events at Wainwright are stated to have occurred at 4 p.m. today.
Rumors are that it was an artillery round that went astray.
If the winds were blowing at 2 p.m. with such force that they were blowing semi-trailers off the road, why did the CO of the exercise at Wainwright keep the exercise going when conditions were not safe to continue?
This appears to be an abhorrent command failure of the CAF which cost men their lives.

I do not want to minimize the human cost of this tragedy, which is awful, but my conspiracy brain says this is a strange string of events.
We had a natural gas bus explode in Calgary, killing 3 and injuring 10.
Now a military exercise in Wainwright, Alberta turned deadly—involving a natural gas well in an area that has had hundreds of natural gas wells for decades, coexisting alongside military operations without incident.
This is all happening ahead of a referendum that would have Alberta, a natural gas majority player, eventually secede from Canada.
A catastrophic blast at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright, Alberta has reportedly resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries during a live fire military training operation.
According to local sources on base, Canadian Forces personnel had been conducting exercises over several days when an artillery projectile reportedly struck an active natural gas well on the bombing range, triggering a massive detonation.
The blast is said to have levelled nearby tactical training buildings, with subsequent fires reaching munitions storage and setting off secondary detonations across the range.
The geography and infrastructure;
➟ CFB Wainwright has a documented history of natural gas production, with approximately 180 wells reported on the military property in 2014.
➟ Military range maps identify munitions storage, pipelines and designated live fire danger areas near Peterson Pond.
➟ NASA FIRMS satellite imagery recorded multiple thermal hotspots between Peterson Pond and Jamieson Lake on October 17.
Local accounts also describe hospitals activating Code Orange protocols, mobilizing stretchers and preparing for a significant influx of casualties.
The reported gas well strike, secondary detonations and hospital emergency measures remain unconfirmed as authorities investigate the incident.
Should these reports be confirmed, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved and affected.

I live in Wainwright, I have worked on the base as a civilian contractor on many occasions. This is a very large, live fire training base. I had no idea what was going on and I live minutes from the base. Everything I’m hearing doesn’t make sense, and the vote is Monday.
