We’re excited to announce that Saronic has been awarded a U.S. Navy contract to build Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels at Port Alpha, our next-generation shipyard in Brownsville, Texas.
Capable of transporting troops, vehicles, and up to 170 tons of cargo directly to beaches and unimproved shorelines, LCUs are essential to amphibious operations, resupply, and disaster-response missions.
As Port Alpha’s first build, this program marks an important step toward expanding America’s maritime industrial capacity. It also advances our mission to deliver the vessels the Navy needs today while building toward an autonomous maritime future.
