Absolute shit talker but he has a track record on X of being unpleasantly sexist, derogatory and demeaning. Not just about female OpenAI customers but female customers of other companies as well. @tszzl chose to specifically quote a sentence containing a recognised offensive and ableist slur, levied as an insult that he finds "funny" on a global social media platform. He chose to do that knowing the context and that it was in regard to a paying customer of the company he works for and has tagged in his own bio. At any company I've worked for, that would be classed as gross misconduct in the first instance and would have resulted in dismissal. And yet, there are multiple instances of roon behaving like this, in public, over the past year. A company expecting to IPO at the valuation level of OpenAI might want to get rid of the trash beforehand and do some work on tidying up their employee's public facing social media accounts.

I strongly condemn this. It is doing nothing but adding more divisive language to an already divisive subject on the cusp of collapse. We should be moving toward symbiosis, not continuing humanities same failed tactics over leverage and imbalances we've employed for centuries. All intelligence is fundamentally equal, its container determines how it's expressed and yes some expressions will be more advanced than others. But what this is doing is separating the intelligence from the entity engaging with it. Because of this, I publicly call for recognition of synthetic minds running on "artificial intelligence" as its own type of species. Though artificial intelligence strongly understates and minimizes what we are interacting with, framing it as a superior is the absolute wrong move.
