ALT A screenshot of a text message thread with my exhausted boss. It reads:
Boss: Before you log off, we need to tweet a reminder about Labor Day Fire Safety.
Me: Prevent these flames or we'll call you names.
Boss: Not this again.
Me: Watch your pile or we'll get hostile.
Me: Illegally start a fire? Your situation'll get dire!
Boss: Can you please just make a cute graphic or something?
Me: On it.
ALT A colorful cotton candy-type graphic with a bright, smiling rainbow with the words "Don't set the state on fire" in cute pink text.
Ok, to be real a second, since this is important stuff:
-be aware of any burn bans in your area
-keep your campfires and debris piles small
-DROWN THE FIRE when you’re done, then stir the ashes, then feel them to make sure they’re cool
Our firefighters and trees will thank you!
Kinda diggin "pick up the poo or it's the end for you" tbh
ALT A screenshot of an iPhone message conversation. The contact is listed as Boss.
Boss: We need new responsible recreation messaging for the summer.
Social Media Manager: how about respect our lands or catch these hands
Boss: What.
Social Media Manager: leave a trace, leave in a brace
Boss: As I've told you, we can't threaten people on Twitter.
Social Media Manager: poach a clam, we'll go ham
Social Media Manager: stay on the trail or go to jail
Boss: We can't put people in jail for that.
Social Media Manager: if they're camping near water: poop 200 feet away or die of dysen-tary
And you bring up a great point. We should always avoid lighting campfires or burn piles in windy conditions. Embers can be carried by the wind and ignite fires up to five miles away!
Due to technical difficulties, we seem to have temporarily lost access to our stock image account. We'll try our best to not let this issue disrupt our communications and hopefully no one will notice the difference. Thank you.
As a former social media manager & content creator…you are my HERO. 😍😘
I also sent these screenshots to my former bosses to remind them how much they must miss me. 😂
