Ran the @cybertruck at the drag strip today. I got a little trigger happy off the line on this pass, but a 6.96 @ 97mph is not bad for a truck on 35" tires that was pulling a 6k lb trailer on the farm last week! Request for @Tesla @wmorrill3: please add a drag specific mode as it takes way too long for launch mode to be ready once you're staged on the starting line. 😉

Is there any reason not to order the cyberbeast with core wheels and take the $3500 from the mantle wheel upgrade and use it to buy a 2nd set of wheels and tires? Nothing else changes, correct? Seems like an insane amount for just a wheel/tire upgrade that aren't forged wheels.

👏 Tesla stepping up and doing the right thing
We've identified PCS electronics in pre-2026 Cybertrucks that do not meet our reliability standards and have made design changes to address this in newer vehicles.
Next steps for existing owners:
– Model year 2026: PCS warranty is now standard at 7 years/70k miles
– Model year 2024/2025: PCS warranty extended to 8 years/150k miles
Starting in the next few weeks, we will reimburse any charges for those who already required a PCS replacement and paid out of pocket.
We're working hard on increasing supply chain availability of this improved version.
As an immediate remedy, we've rolled out a software update so you can keep Supercharging even if a PCS failure occurs, and have enabled free Supercharging for trucks waiting for part availability

Volvo is officially discontinuing the LiDAR-sensor on their cars. All customers with a LiDAR-equipped Volvo EX90 or ES90 in Norway will get a €1800 compensation for features that won’t arrive. There is no retrofit to remove it.

Cybertruck's PCS must be a recalled and it must be done urgently and without delay.
Making customers pay for this repair, at all out of pocket, is slap in the face to adopters of Tesla's greatest tech.
The part had a design flaw. A known flaw. A flaw that Tesla is fixing on a national scale across tens of thousands of Cybertrucks.
The flaw itself restricts the ability to charge the Cybertruck at home or on AC power, and in its worst cases on older firmware, bricks the truck and makes it undriveable.
Ever since the flaw was discovered and fixed, Tesla has literally launched a new, separate warranty for the PCS and related parts that lasts up to 70,000 miles and 7 years, yet it does not cover their earliest trucks (the ones affected by the design flaw), limiting them to the basic factory warranty.
It is time to issue a formal recall and be done with it.

What is the solution for this? Two different service centers have worked on it now and claimed to have done a full adjustment, cleaned the cover and rails, tested it and said it was fixed. Just got it back yesterday, it's not from being dirty. Frustrating. @wmorrill3 @tesla
