A rare sighting of Lynx in the North Cascades @MimiRitZ244 and I were heading up the pass, admiring some beautiful frozen waterfalls. Off in the distance, we saw something pop out onto the road. Washington State Ferries. Day two of chaos. Not broken boats. Missing engineers. Dock workers say it's a sick-out. Their contract's up. They want a 20% raise. Hell, we all want a 20% raise. Most of us still show up for work. Sunday: Seattle routes cut to one boat. San Juans short. Today: Port Townsend–Coupeville canceled all day. Edmonds–Kingston dead after 7:10 a.m. More San Juans cancellations. The union can't legally strike. So the boats just don't sail. Commuters get to sit in the parking lot and think about it. Warriors, who gets held accountable for this, Olympia or the people calling in "sick"?

Yesterday evening, I took the back way home from La Conner, heading north, and was treated to a breathtaking sight as thousands of Canada geese lifted into the sky from a distant field. As I drove a few miles past a still-harvested cornfield, I captured a stunning moment of them preparing to land. Our wildlife is amazing. #wawx #pnw #nature #geese

Did a great hike to lake Ingalls on Friday. This one has been on my bucket list for a long time. A butt kicker of a hike but well worth it as it was absolutely gorgeous! Rugged mountains, pristine deep blue lake and the larch trees in their fall colors. 10 miles w/4216' elev gain
