One of the reasons people don't recognize ADHD as a disability is that they see ADHD struggles (with things like organisation, tidyness, timeliness, communication etc) as personal failings. That is ableism.

Our bad.
2025 starts with WTF (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). The last time that happened was in 2020. We're probably going to be fine, though, right?

I’m sorry for the long post but a lot of you have followed me for a long time, since 2016 when I was one of the first to repeatedly call out Trump for being a Russian asset. I don’t know how else to say this, as a person who has studied cults (wrote a bestseller about it) and totalitarian states. I’ve been attacked on Fox News, berated by the VP and others and like many of you, I’ve gotten death threats. So please believe me when I say this. Things have changed. ICE is going to be the vehicle for fascism in this country. The extra-judicial practices (no warrants, no ID), the masks (anonymity leads to horrors again and again throughout history), the dehumanization of immigrants and Democrats (dehumanization precedes arrests, torture, murder, again and again). No we are not going to be Nazi Germany because nothing in history matches Nazi Germany. But fascism has arrived in America. Here is how it is going to happen: ICE will be the vehicle, the gestapo empowered by the President, to enforce his will, first among vulnerable undocumented people, then among legal immigrants, then among political rivals, then among citizens who speak out against the Trump grift. This is not a hypothetical. It’s happening. That Big Dumb Racist bill gives $170 billion dollars for an organization which has no respect for the constitution, no oversight, nothing but marching orders from a couple racist, power-hungry madmen. $170 billion to build hidden prisons with no oversight. To put this in perspective, this is 62% larger than the entire federal prison system. $170 billion to drag people out of their places of work, parks, homes. $170 billion to hire racist little man babies who hide their faces as they assault children, old people, pregnant women. How do you think this goes? How has this ever gone in history? We are entering a dark period. Our only hope is to draw the line now. To stick up for our friends and neighbors, our co-workers and loved ones, who are undocumented and being hunted. If morality or empathy for them is not enough to motivate you, fine. Then let this be your motivation: if you don’t draw this line, you are next. Do you think Trump will grow a conscience? Do you think Stephen Miller will have any trouble going from, “these people are criminals” (them) to “these people are helping criminals?” (You, by being against Trump). To “we must arrest the traitors opposing our efforts to arrest criminals?” (You or anyone you care about who publicly opposes Trump.) Do you think republican congressman are going to care? To lift onefinger to protect you? To do anything which gets in the way of Trump’s agenda? A person who has no problem letting children with cancer die in order to put a few dollars in the pockets of rich men will have no problem with letting Democrats and activists rot in jail for trying to stop it. This has happened again and again throughout the world. And now it’s happening here. I wish I had concrete plans. I don’t. Not now. All I know is the first step for change is identifying the gravity of the truth. And the truth is fascism has arrived in America. And we must stop it in its tracks or it will swallow all of us.

It's wild that we have a president who refers to the governor of the most populous state as "Newscum" and everyone in his party is just fine with that behavior. They've just completely ceded the idea that a person in that position of power should act dignified or morally.

If French immigrants were being targeted like Mexican immigrants, I’d wave a French flag too. That doesn’t mean I love France more or hate the US. It means I care about justice. Waving the Mexican flag in protest is more patriotic than yelling “go back to Mexico.”

Tired of seeing misinformation passed around in the form of faulty charts and cherry-picked data, and even more frustrated that so many people believe it. Here’s the real data. I was one of the many people so shocked by the 2016 presidency that i voted for the first time in 2020.

If you’re cheering on people being “deported”, you’re not a true American. People who’ve been here since childhood, or married to US citizens, or who’ve been here years or decades, working, having their own home, family and community here. Citizenship doesn’t make you better.

It is clear that there’s a big lie about “illegal immigration”, and they’re grabbing the most vulnerable people, tricking people who are on their legal path to citizenship, separating families, because they can’t easily find the real criminals and there aren’t that many.

I have thoughts. I am so sick of the far right and their tired blah blah blah loads of bull 💩pretzel twisting propaganda. We are not fighting for an MS-13 gang member. We are FIGHTING for every single person on US soil to have their Constitutionally protected right to due process. We are FIGHTING for our CONSTITUTION. It’s the same bull crap they tried to pull with George Floyd. People did not take to the streets to fight for someone who may or may not have been under the influence of drugs. They took to the streets to fight for the RIGHT to not be randomly killed by a police officer during what should’ve been a routine arrest. They paint these unwitting human beings in the worst possible light in hopes that we will ignore the fact that they are literally shredding the Constitution in our faces and ask us to swallow their actions blindly. I will NOT. We fight for ALL of us. Who here is perfect? What story would they tell about you if they accidentally sent you to El Salvador? I’d probably be painted as an enemy of the state for my loud mouthed social media posts. What would they say about YOU? Because you see, these are test cases to desensitize you. We are living the “First they came for the…” poem in real time, y’all. And as long as I live, I’m standing up for the FIRST people they come for so we will all still be here when they come for the rest of us. So, with all due respect, if you are in my comments saying “let him stay there,” kindly stop being such a braindead sheep. Otherwise, there will be no one left to fight for YOU. /soapbox Oh and 👊🏻🇺🇸🔥 because it’s been a minute and I promised to keep it alive.

The El Salvador story is less about Abrego Garcia himself than about the right to due process. The assault on Harvard is less about the school itself (there are and will be others) but attempted federal control of private universities. The assault on law firms is less about each firm’s business with the federal government than about frightening firms from taking on cases the administration opposes. Each principle - due process, educational freedom and right to representation - has implications for everyone regardless of party affiliation or leaning.

A few facts regardless of what side of the due process/deportation debate you're on raised by Vance: 1) Only reason Abrego Garcia case is a controversy is an immigration court blocked his deportation, and Trump Admin admitted he was "mistakenly" picked up by ICE. 2) SCOTUS ruled 9-0 (Thomas, Alito, etc.) that US must "facilitate" his return. 3) Ordinary deportations - sending someone back to their country of origin - are very quick and easy: it's done by a deportation "court" inside DOJ. 4) That's radically different than sending people to life in prison in a third country they have nothing to do with, based on allegations of criminality that are never proven. Due process is raised only with that. 5) SCOTUS also just ruled 9-0 (including Thomas, Alito, etc) that anyone Trump Admin wants to remove as an "alien enemy" under AEA first gets a habeas hearing to contest charges of gang membership. 6) A Trump-appointed judge in TX then, based on SCOTUS ruling, ordered AEA deportations of Venezuelans to El Salvador to cease pending a hearing. These aren't "left-wing activist judges" doing this. It's also right-wing judges -- the ones most popular among the Right -- upholding the Bill of Rights (which has applied to everyone in the US, not just citizens, for at least 150 years).
Consider that Joe Biden allowed approximately 20 million illegal aliens into our country. This placed extraordinary burdens on our country--our schools, hospitals, housing, and other essential services were overwhelmed. On top of that, many of these illegal aliens committed violent crimes, or facilitated fentanyl and sex trafficking. That is the situation we inherited. The American people elected the Trump administration to solve this problem. The President has successfully stopped the inflow of illegal aliens, and now we must deport the people who came here illegally. To say the administration must observe "due process" is to beg the question: what process is due is a function of our resources, the public interest, the status of the accused, the proposed punishment, and so many other factors. To put it in concrete terms, imposing the death penalty on an American citizen requires more legal process than deporting an illegal alien to their country of origin. When the media and the far left obsess over an MS-13 gang member and demand that he be returned to the United States for a *third* deportation hearing, what they're really saying is they want the vast majority of illegal aliens to stay here permanently. Here's a useful test: ask the people weeping over the lack of due process what precisely they propose for dealing with Biden's millions and millions of illegals. And with reasonable resource and administrative judge constraints, does their solution allow us to deport at least a few million people per year? If the answer is no, they've given their game away. They don't want border security. They don't want us to deport the people who've come into our country illegally. They want to accomplish through fake legal process what they failed to accomplish politically: The ratification of Biden's illegal migrant invasion. President Trump and I will not stand fori t.

The NYT looked into 238 names shipped to El Salvador for allegedly being gang members. They find evidence that 32 committed serious crimes. The rest appear to have had minor infractions or no known criminal record or documented gang ties at all. This is simply a war crime.

So this is where we’re at. Our government can send anyone to a foreign concentration camp (where you may be tortured, murdered, and will likely never leave). I never imagined we’d get to this point. The end of the USA as we know it. There is no coming back from this.
The gov't's arguments against returning Abrego Garcia should make your blood run cold. The gov't claims if it can ship a person to a foreign jurisdiction, they're gone. There's no limiting principle. It can make these arguments for intentional renditions of U.S. citizens. 1/

This is your daily reminder that the Trump admin has never offered even a single piece of legal justification for what they’re doing in El Salvador. There is not a single law in the entire United States Code which authorizes paying other nations to imprison people. It’s illegal.

The minute I saw the glossy fear porn video of El Salvador prison we knew it was the case to test the courts. The final piece to end democracy. And sure enough, they are not complying and who is going to challenge them? Even SCOTUS is powerless

What kind of heartless, cruel, and uncaring people would not return this man to his family? This is a national disgrace, and it allows trump to take anyone away with no reason. This has to happen. "Trump asks Supreme Court to block order requiring US to bring back man mistakenly deported to El Salvador"
