During Airlift, Usman team pitched ~300 investors.
Roughly 80% were never a fit. Wrong stage, wrong sector, wrong geography, wrong check size.
Months of meetings that were never going to happen, discovered one call at a time.
@MetalRaise exists because of those months.
15 months post-launch, tracking to multi-million revenue, six straight quarters of 30-80% growth.
I backed it early, so weigh that accordingly.
The thesis they published with the round is the interesting part. Fundraising, investor relations and ownership infrastructure converging into one system, so the tool you adopt during a raise becomes the one you run capital on permanently.

My friend Billy runs his whole newsletter business on Grok Bot agents, and I think we're about to see 100,000+ businesses like his.
BEST PRACTICES:
1. The agents run on a shared cloud computer, so running your newsletter, your X, and your receipts all in one place creates context bloat and burns tokens fast. One mission per setup.
2. Start with a Chief of Staff. Give it access to your existing docs (Notion, Slack, Gmail), have it audit the business, then tell you the top three agents to build first to drive revenue.
3. Perfect a task with the Chief of Staff before spinning up a new agent. Have it do the outbound sales once, review it, and only then say "now build a bot that does exactly that." You earn each new hire by proving the task works first.
4. Constraints are the feature. You get a limited number of agents, one thread per bot, like DMs with a teammate. It forces you to stay mission-oriented instead of spinning up a bot for every random idea.
5. You make the decisions, not the agent. Billy's team spent three weeks unable to pick where content should live. At some point you say "we're doing Notion, no more tinkering" and move on.
6. Run week one with no new agents. Build the team, learn to fly the plane, just execute. Week three is when you find the real gaps and expand, someone to man the inbox, someone for the Shopify shop.
7. Then add routines so it works while you sleep. Ask your Chief of Staff what recurring jobs would move the business forward overnight, and it builds the automations that run without you.

Cosmos is where @lavanetxyz started, and the reason was technical, not tribal.
Lava needed things that had to live in the protocol itself. Pairing between consumers and providers. Compute-unit accounting. Conflict detection with commit-reveal voting and slashing when a provider lies.
In 2023, that wasn't a contract you deploy on someone else's chain. It was a sovereign appchain or nothing. So we built one with the @cosmos SDK, and a lot of what Lava is today comes from that decision.
That is what makes this conversation important.
The question I've been sitting with is: does Lava still need to run its own chain to do what it does?
My honest answer is that I don't know yet. I'm putting my evaluation out in the open so people can argue with it, including the parts I'm least sure about.

@lavanetxyz Tokenization Sandbox just went LIVE with its first energy deployment: Electric Blue targeting up to โฌ500M in tokenized financing for battery storage across Germany.
The first facility: a battery that powers a small town for ~3 hours. Online ~late 2026.
Full scale: enough storage for a mid-size city's evening peak (~580 MW / 1,750 MWh).
Only since June there are 40+ institutional applications. Real estate, payments, bonds, commodities.
Tokenization doesn't change the battery. It changes who can fund it, and how fast. ๐

Quick test: when the Iran conflict escalated over a weekend, oil markets were closed. Oil perps on @HyperliquidX werenโt. Price discovery happened on-chain, hours before TradFi opened.
