“One Igbo Man is equivalent to 500 Hausa men” — Reverend Father Ebube Munson. This is one of many reasons why we must ensure Peter Obi @PeterObi never comes close to power, else the Hausa man will become an Igbo man’s slave in his own country. #Arewaforasiwaju #TinubuSaubiyu

I don’t know who this woman is, but this video is enough for every “rif-raf Northerner or Muslim” to turn their back on @PeterObi . This tweet is not in regret for supporting him in the past. It is in acknowledgment that the SE will never learn. Terrible human she is.

Culture and politics intersect where a society’s identity, values, traditions, language, history, and collective memory influence how political power is understood and exercised, and where politics, in turn, shapes that culture.

Should we eradicate English language also? How about the English tribe that gave you the language You will eradicate them also What language will you now be speaking? Oponu
Lol if it was up to me I'd eradicate the concept of tribes and languages from you people. We don't need Yoruba, igbo, hausa and the other 250+ ethnic groups and 500+ languages in this country. Redundant rubbish

This is another stupid and bigoted take. I wish Yorùbá people see through this packaged insults from people like you. Supporting a Yorùbá man is bigotry while supporting your Eastern-affliliated persons is good governance. In a nutshell, the Yorùbás are not capable of good governance? Òfò lomi ẹ̀fọ́ ń ṣe. You see how comfortably she called Hausa people riff raff right? That's how people like her comfortably go on Hausa people's comments section on TikTok and BOLDLY display faux superiority complex and bigotry. Then they come on twitter and cry victims. NIGERIANS ARE TRIBALISTS!🤮

Dear @DONUKOGBARA, There is something profoundly embarrassing about a person who potrays herself as "educated" & "exposed" making a statement that exposes just how little either education or exposure has taught her. You called Hausa people riffraffs. Let us pause there. What exactly does that make you? Because your words have exposed a remarkable paucity of thought, a poverty of judgment and, frankly, an embarrassing absence of common sense. There is a peculiar kind of paucity that is worse than material poverty: the paucity of intellect that survives education and the poverty of thought that survives exposure. Your interview was a rather spectacular demonstration of both. Since you chose to call Hausa people "riffraffs", I would genuinely like to know whether you have considered the history of the people you have so casually insulted. Are Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Murtala Mohammed, Sani Abacha and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua the "riffraffs" you are talking about? Are the millions of Hausa people who have served Nigeria in the military, academia, medicine, law, business and public service also "riffraffs"? You can disagree with any of these men politically. You can criticise their records. You can even despise their politics. That is your right. But to reduce an entire people to "riffraffs" is not political analysis. It is ethnic prejudice masquerading as intellectual superiority. And then there is the most amusing contradiction in your argument. You appear to be making this argument because you believe Peter Obi an Igbo candidate, deserves the presidency. Fine. But look at the ticket you are now defending. Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is P.O's running mate. So what exactly is your argument? You do not have to support Kwankwaso's ideology, his movement or his ambitions. But pretending that he is some insignificant political nobody would be intellectually dishonest. He is a former governor, a former minister, a former presidential candidate and one of the most consequential political figures to emerge from Northern Nigeria in recent decades. So if your argument is that Peter Obi is the brilliant Igbo candidate and Kwankwaso is part of the political riffraff you are sneering at, then your own preferred ticket contains the contradiction. And this is where your supposed "education" becomes particularly amusing. You have managed to turn an argument intended to elevate one man into an argument that insults the very people whose support decisively determines the success that man. You are free to campaign for P.O. You are free to argue that he is competent, experienced or deserving of the presidency. But the moment you start telling millions of Nigerians that their people are "riffraffs", you are no longer making a case for Peter Obi. You are simply displaying your own prejudice. And let me make my own position very clear: even if Peter Obi, or any other Igbo person, were the last person on earth available to govern Nigeria and even if I believed that person could transform Nigeria for the better, I would never vote for that person after hearing someone speak about my people with this level of contempt. Not because that person is Igbo or I oppose Igbo people. But because I will never reward ethnic contempt with my vote, no matter how impressive the candidate may be. You think of yourself as exposed & educated. Yet your own words have exposed something far more revealing - education without wisdom, exposure without understanding and confidence without intellectual depth. And yes, I will say it plainly because your words deserve a plain response. What you said was stupid. Deeply, embarrassingly stupid. Not because you support Peter Obi. Not because you hold a political opinion I disagree with. It was stupid because you apparently thought that insulting an entire people was an intelligent way to make a political argument. You did not diminish the Hausa people with that interview. You disgraced yourself!!!

If you don't understand what I meant by conquest mentality, this is it. If this does not enrage you, flip the script. Imagine some people in Lagos, discussing about capturing Abia or Anambra State. They should state it that they don't care whether they lose anything else, as long as they have Anambra or Abia. Let's see how it will sound.
"We are not going to negotiate Lagos. Lagos State is our top priority. We can lose any state but we must not lose Lagos State...even if it costs us our lives" This 2023 meeting was not held in Lagos but far away in Abia state.

To every action, there is equal and opposite reaction. I will use myself as an example. I am from Ogun State, but some of my extended family members are from Lagos. Sounds strange right? Lagos, as a State, was created in 1967 and Ogun in 1976. My people have existed as one. Till today, part of my panegyrics is the same with that of many indigenous Lagosians. Ọmọ iwájú ọlọ́kọ̀ tí n sowó, Ẹ̀yìnkulé ọlọ́kọ̀ tí ń sèjìgbà ilẹ̀kè Ògèdègédé ọlọ́kọ̀ tí ń tàn yẹbẹyẹbẹ lójú omi Ọmọ ká fọ̀pá wàá, ká fàjẹ̀ wàá, Ká fògèdègédé ọwọ́ wakọ délẹ̀ Ìṣẹri Back to the discussion at hand. I wasn't really interested in the affairs of Lagos. It's like the properties of my distance cousin. But when we start seeing videos of people in far away Anambra and other Eastern States holding meetings and saying "Lagos is not negotiable, we have to capture Lagos," my sense of preservation will be triggered. It would be stupid of any Yorùbá person to watch people with conquest mentality take over Yorùbá Land.
"I'm from Osun/Ogun/Ondo/Oyo/Ekiti State. I'll never claim to be from Lagos. We Yorubas don't do like that." So why are you crying over Lagos matter? You've been lamenting because someone is identifying as a Lagosian. Town crier, did I identify as someone from your state?
