Representative democracy doesn't work. It encourages some of the lowest behavior. Direct referenda on policy, not people, is needed instead. An administrative State doesn't need a Congress. Nor do local worker councils.

Despite sending emails to SJP, JVP, YDSA, and others at Cornell about our concerns, we have received no response. Hasan himself, however, has just responded to our criticism on Twitch. Hasan Piker has just demonstrated how he responds to genuine feminist criticism. We do not believe that he is well-equipped to discuss the plight of Palestinian people, especially regarding the systemic rape, sexual assault, and sexual images used as blackmail against countless Palestinian women, and especially not at a university that is currently in the news for its own failure to protect its female students from rape and revenge porn. We ask you to think deeply about who should represent the Students Not Bombs Campaign, Students for Justice in Palestine, Young Democratic Socialists of America, Jewish Voice for Peace, and Cornell University, but most importantly, who should speak for the women of Palestine. We know that Cornell can find a much better guest to speak on Palestine than a misogynist Twitch streamer. Invite someone else to speak, and make this an actual valuable learning moment for the students of Cornell! Please consider your female peers!
