Just had breakfast at a new BF's place for the first time. He microwaved a frozen Greggs sausage product and ate it dipping it in condensed milk before each bite. I know I should respect others' personal choices but are there any normal non-fash straight men left in this country?

My wife Bunty and I do love a good sting! I believe ‘Right Said Fred’ are some right wing Danny Tommo tribute band who once had a hit with the wrap song ‘I’m too sexy for my balaclava.’ They hate people posting clips of themselves on holiday. 😉

3. It will increase the benefits bill they’re always moaning about. 4. IT’S UNQUESTIONABLY ILLEGAL.
It’s clear that a number of governments are going to try to force through laws that hand creatives’ work to AI companies, on the grounds of ‘national security’. But this is an abysmally weak justification for stripping away creatives’ rights. Two core reasons why: 1. Permitting training on people’s work in your country does nothing for your national security. Your country will still not own the most powerful model - so what have you gained? If you think AI presents a national security concern, having the second best model does zero to protect you. 2. Most creative work is totally unnecessary to building AI for national security. As an obvious example, if you want AI for cyber security, you don’t need to train on music. The AI companies know this. But they push for a broad copyright exception that gives them the right to train on *everything* because that is better for them commercially - and governments listen because they are afraid and largely clueless. Upending creatives’ rights in the name of national security is a lazy and poorly-thought-through idea that would fail to deliver on its goals but would be sure to harm the world’s creative community. It should be fought at all costs.

So, if you build ethics and truth algorithms into AI it automatically leans left in its answers. So the right-wingers counter by trying to build in nasty selfish arsehole and liar algorithms. Should be well within their capabilities.
Researchers mathematically proved that "unbiased AI" is impossible. They publish a paper showing if you train an AI to be safe and honest, it automatically becomes left-wing. And trying to make it "politically neutral" requires making it actively harmful. For the last year, there has been a massive culture war over AI bias. Critics complain that ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini lean too far left. Companies like Meta and xAI are scrambling to build "neutral" or "anti-woke" alternatives to appease them. Now, a researcher at the University of Stuttgart just dropped a bombshell paper that exposes the fatal flaw in the entire debate. The core rule of AI safety is HHH: Harmless, Helpful, and Honest. The paper proves that harm avoidance, inclusivity, fairness, and empirical truthfulness inherently map to progressive moral frameworks. Conversely, right-wing ideologies statistically and structurally conflict with these exact alignment guidelines. The left-leaning bias in ChatGPT isn't a glitch. It isn't a conspiracy by Silicon Valley engineers. It is the direct mathematical byproduct of teaching a system not to harm people and not to lie. Here is the trap nobody is talking about. When companies try to "fix" this bias, they are doing something incredibly dangerous. To make an AI politically neutral, you have to actively degrade its core safety guardrails. You have to teach the model to tolerate harm, ignore fairness, or validate falsehoods just to artificially balance the scales. The paper is blunt: demanding political neutrality is actively arguing against AI safety. We are entering a terrifying new phase of AI development. Companies are about to start intentionally breaking the alignment of their own models just to avoid being called biased. You can have an AI that is politically neutral. Or you can have an AI that is safe and honest. But you cannot have both.

They claimed it was only illegal migrants who they had a problem with. They claimed it was only foreigners who couldn't speak English that they had a problem with They claimed it was only foreigners who didn't integrate that they had a problem with. Posts like this from a failed Reform candidate show that, actually, it's schoolchildren who have earned a place at high achieving schools that they have a problem with, if they happen to have black or brown skin. It doesn't matter to them if they came here legally, it doesn't matter to them if they have embraced life in this country, it doesn't matter if they were born here, to parents born here. They're not white so to warped individuals like Matthew, they're a problem. They aren't, people like him, and those that enable them are.

Oh Andy, please stop trying to rewrite history because admitting where Nazism actually sat politically makes you uncomfortable. The Nazis were a far-right, ultranationalist, racist, antisemitic and explicitly anti-Marxist movement. They came to power and banned the Communist Party and Social Democrats, imprisoned leftists and sent communists to Dachau. Their own strategy had been to lure workers away from socialism and communism into a racial-nationalist movement. And once in power they largely worked with German business elites rather than handing industry to workers. “But it had Socialist in the name!” is about as intelligent as arguing North Korea must be democratic because it calls itself the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Sorry, pal. You don’t get to move Hitler onto the left because the historical reality is inconvenient.
