For just over 136 years, Washington State has managed just fine without an income tax. In that time, we built one of the best state economies in the world, with companies other states are jealous of that provides great jobs and benefits. A permanent state income tax that will apply to all of us in no time is an existential threat to our economy and to taxpayers, because after “the rich” move to avoid the tax, all that will be left is you, Democrats recklessly spending your money for little results, and with no meaningful tax relief. Meanwhile, some states that do have an income tax are considering eliminating it so that they can usher in the capital that ours chases away. Other states that have income taxes also don’t have 7 other wallet busting taxes to pay. It’s amazing to me sometimes that these clear facts are even partisan. Implementing this income tax in WA is not only unconstitutional, it’s economically illiterate and politically brain dead. Why are the unions backing it with so much cash? Occam’s Razor my friends. Because it’s not to fund schools, healthcare, or anything other than to fund unions who turn around and spend millions on taking more from your wallet. I spend my days buried in our state budget, and this is clear as day to me. It’s clear as day to them too, except they aren’t honest about it, because honesty would lose. Democrats and their media friends knowingly spread lies to strangle common sense to death in WA. A yes vote on the initiative is a vote to protect our future from economic arsonists, socialism, fraud, corruption, and wasteful government spending.

Understandably, Hobbs is correct in that the DOJ cannot acquire the voter roles due to federal privacy laws. (Litigated in USA v Benson et al 12025cv01148) But he blunders so badly here on the state checking for themselves if noncitizens are on the rolls. And you wonder why many have lost faith in the system…
UPDATE: I was able to ask @secstatewa about the claims of noncitizens on Washington voter rolls. He insists it’s not a widespread issue but also admits the state has no mechanism for checking voter registration against citizenship. Live report at 6 @komonews

“Seattle business owners say public safety, taxes, labor costs and homelessness sit atop their concerns in a poll released Monday, showing the business climate score at 39 out of 100. “The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Seattle Association surveyed 247 local businesses in late summer, though response counts vary by question in the report. Chamber President and CEO Joe Nguyễn said the poll shows what businesses need to succeed and urged that now is the time to act.”

And which party has had control of the governor’s office for the last 40+ years? • Power bills are up thanks to CETA. • Education and student grade performance are in decline. • Our roads rank the worst in the nation. • Healthcare for illegals and $1b in cuts to state’s share of Medicaid. A reminder to @JayInslee on how his party did on these issues.
Congress gets the headlines. But here’s the truth: Your governor probably has more say over your power bill, your schools, your roads, and your health care than Congress does. Don’t sit this election out.

This is a follow-up to our earlier post about the Public Disclosure Commission waiving a state law passed by the legislature, a move that lets special interests take the lid off how much they can spend to mislead you. At the time, we didn’t know who requested that waiver. Now we do. SEIU has put a total of $400,000 into a two-pronged attack on the income tax and on our Supreme Court candidates. On October 26, SEIU gave $150,000 to the campaign opposing I-645 (the income tax) and $250,000 to the committee attacking your judicial candidates, Beware the Attack on Our Courts. Under state law, SEIU could only have given $75,000 to each, for a total of $150,000. That’s not a small amount. Instead, the PDC handed Beware the Attack on Our Courts the ability to take an extra $250,000, a windfall granted in violation of state law. Yes, in Washington some people are more equal than others. The Supreme Court candidates targeted by this money can still only collect $2,400 per person, and only through their own committees. The PDC says it made this move in the name of “fairness.” As a reminder, Merriam-Webster defines “fairness” as “the quality or state of being fair” and “lack of favoritism toward one side or another.”

HOLD UP! @GovBobFerguson, I thought there was no fraud? And that any such thing was somehow racist or bigoted against Somalias… You know I thought Sen. Wellman’s legislation to hide certain daycare data was an admission of guilt, but this tops the cake!
Two big announcements today: I signed an executive order creating the state's first Chief Fraud Prevention Officer and a statewide fraud prevention workgroup to unify and expand our existing fraud prevention efforts. I will also propose legislation expanding the current Medicaid False Claims Act to cover all false claims against Washington state. False claims include things like overcharging the government or submitting false grant applications. This new law will help hold violators accountable. Washington state takes fraud seriously. As we continue to face challenging state budgets and devastating cuts from the federal government, it is more important than ever to protect every dollar.

‼️NEW VIDEO🎥 Back in the 2026 legislative session, I had the opportunity to speak against yet another tax, this time on social media companies to fund youth behavioral health. This is yet another example of Democrat’s insane appetite for taxes. Watch: youtu.be/hehnEwpaLPI?si=VbQ3…

Great to once again be out on the campaign trail with @votejohnbraun. We cannot sit this election out. The work must be put in for the results we desire. 9 days to go! #waelex
First stop on another busy Saturday. You may have already seen the short Get Out the Vote video. We filmed it at John Braun's crowded meet-and-greet event at Longview Donuts, a popular shop right on Ocean Beach Highway (followed by some doorbelling). State Sen. Jeff Wilson, Rep. Joel McEntire, County Commissioner Rick Dahl and Sheriff Brad Thurman were all present.

It will be very close,” said Mixer, a conservative political activist and former government affairs director for the Young Republicans of Washington. “The road to keeping the majority does run through Washington’s 3rd Congressional District.” Read more: washingtonstatestandard.com/…

This is despicable. Utterly shameful.
In 2026, this is how women are treated for peacefully standing up for their rights. There was no way I was going to leave that stadium of my own free will. We did nothing wrong.

Or in other words: OSPI isnt in control.
Why do we doubt the Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC)? - There are no rules prohibiting Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) from discriminating against different student populations. - There is no guarantee that the most in need of support will get it.
