The Child Care Bridge Payment program ended in June without a long-term replacement. This leaves parents, a significant part of our Wisconsin workforce, without support. I will fight next session to ensure Wisconsinites can access quality child care that doesn’t break the bank.

This Lake Appreciation Month, I’m thinking about the work that needs to happen both in the water and at the Capitol. Protecting Wisconsin’s lakes means investing in clean energy and policies that protect the natural resources we all depend on.

This morning, I was on “In Focus” talking about our efforts to hold Big Tech accountable and establish privacy-by-default, safety-by-design standards for social media.

Wisconsinites deserve a clean environment, healthy communities, and easy access to the ballot. This session I voted for a sustainable healthy environment and scored 100 percent in Wisconsin Conservation Voters’ Conservation Scorecard!

I am honored to be named a Conservation Champion by @WIConservation! Our natural environment is worth protecting and while there’s still work to be done, I’m committed to taking us further for future generations.

Wisconsin has a strong reputation for vibrant green spaces and incredible wildlife. I will fight next session to ensure our state can live up to our strong legacy of conservation.

For more than 35 years, the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program has been key to protecting and preserving our state’s natural spaces. But due to Legislative Republicans’ unwillingness to work with us, critical funding will end this week, impacting major projects and upkeep.

I am proud to be part of the LGBT+ community and be an advocate for our rights in the state Capitol. While some politicians work to divide us, I will continue fighting for a Wisconsin where we are all safe and welcome. Happy Pride, Wisconsin!

Nurses work long shifts in high-stress environments to take care of our neighbors. They deserve to have their voices heard in the workplace.

This isn't how our government should work.

It’s 4/20, and we must legalize weed! We must immediately stop criminalizing people for using or possessing it, use the revenue to invest in our communities, ensure those harmed by the War on Drugs can benefit from legalization, and fully expunge past weed convictions. Let’s get it done for Wisconsin!

Another 4/20 passes without cannabis being fully legalized in Wisconsin. Many Wisconsinites continue to travel to Illinois to legally purchase cannabis products. The Republican-led Legislature has stalled efforts to move Wisconsin forward on legalization yet again.

At our last Milwaukee delegation meeting, we sat down with members of the Milwaukee Common Council at City Hall to talk about protecting immigrant communities, knowing your rights, and standing up to ICE. Important conversations like these and working together are how we keep our communities informed, safe, and empowered.
