Today's Poll: Would you support scrapping State Pension triple lock (amount its guaranteed to rise by) to pay for universal social care? NB. This is a vibe question. There are many other routes, options & things money could go to. Yet given a straight choice what's your view?

Why I haven’t and won’t be changing my name professionally. I built this rep brick by brick!
I am asking the question about surnames to WOMEN - I think that when like in my profession young women have studied so hard and faced the uphill battle of the training contract. It might psychologically and factually feel like a betrayal if the final product is not linked to the family that supported you.

The reality is this generation isn't getting equity like that unlike previous generations unless you're in an up and coming place.
The ideal formula for most is buy small first, make a bit on equity, sell and gradually upgrade and repeat. Going straight to a 4 bed, 3 bath, high running costs as a FTB is HELL on your income

For ages I've watched TikTok about younger Gen-Z and not really understand the behaviour that people are commenting on but I get it now I get, it's almost like the whole personalities are Americanised

Mums are so? No Facebook doesn't need everyone to know it's my first day at [redacted] and how proud you are of me 🫠🫠

I don't think renting in this country till you're old is a good thing however that doesn't mean we should support every scheme for buying. In reality I would support a scheme if it was only for houses not flat and people were told to think about if it's their long-term Home.
It’s more trendy online to encourage people to rent indefinitely and own nothing than to give this sensible piece of advice

There's multiple reports but the difficulty with the previous scheme was when it came to selling so people should only really do a scheme like this if they don't intend to buy another house

So I set my alarm at 4 o'clock thinking I would go to the gym before work that did not happen because as soon as it went off, it wasn't that I couldn't wake up. It's that I just didn't want to get out of bed. I don't know how people do it.

From what I've heard, Kai Collective moving like Apple with their sales prices 😂 20% off for a sample sale is toooo greedy 😂

I’m projecting September 2026 will be 2nd warmest on record in London behind 2023. Up to recently this would have been warmer than a typical July the hottest month. Some also interesting perspective September 2026 would have been 2nd warmest month of all months in 1960s at London Heathrow. Close to the hottest month of 1960s that being July 1969 that climate is no longer recognisable…

There's an empty bar recently renovated in Woolwich and I wish the owner of Prince of Peckham would do another location with it

Is there somewhere where you can try the individual poppi drinks because I've tried the strawberry lemonade and I did not like it but I don't want to keep buying the packs of them

I think sometimes when you're a first time buyer, you feel like you have to have everything together I've lived without a living room that looks like a living room for over one year, why you might ask because I'm curating and everything goes in the sale!

Like it's way better and you get such a better satisfaction from waiting for things finding best pieces to arrive then just going to IKEA and get everything just get a decent Sofa and the rest will be okay

According to one study, Help to Buy "significantly increased house prices and had no detectable effect on construction volumes... While HtB did not help would-be-buyers in already unaffordable areas, it boosted the financial performance of developers participating in the scheme."

I think this is true because as a child my mum never made me do stuff like cleaning or ironing or washing but she ensured I *could* do those things and I never wanted for nothing but I knew hard work
You can give children a soft life whilst teaching them the value of things and the importance of work. I’ve seen it. The two things aren’t mutually exclusive.
