On 1/23/13, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee held a hearing on the #Benghazi attacks where @HillaryClinton testified and was questioned. Predictably, she and the Democrat senators tried to establish the State Dept ARB report as the definitive final word on the attacks. At the time, @BarackObama had already been re-elected so he saw little need to continue lying about protests over the anti-Islam YouTube video as the origin of the #Benghazi attack. Hillary was free to confidently use the "terrorism" word now.
Senator @RonJohnsonWI contrasted Hillary's current ease in acknowledging terrorism in #Benghazi with the weeks immediately following the attacks and @AmbassadorRice's Sunday talk show appearances when lying to voters was in Pres. Obama and Hillary's best political interests: "But, Madam Secretary, do you disagree with me that a simple phone call to those evacuees to determine what happened would have ascertained immediately that there was no protest? I mean, that was a piece of information that could have been easily obtained."
Hillary: "Senator, you know, when you are in these positions, the last thing you want to do is interfere with any other process that is going on." To paraphrase: Telling a false #Benghazi story was justified because asking for facts from witnesses would be "interfering."

You lecturing about “free press” is a joke.
The night Stevens and Sean Smith were killed you pointed at a YouTube video. That same night you emailed your daughter it was an al Qaeda-like group. The next day you told Egypt it was a planned attack, not the film.
Then the public story stayed on the video. The press ran it. Nakoula got locked up on a probation hit after that narrative.
Tyrone Woods’s father said you told him you would arrest the filmmaker for his son’s death.
You used the press to sell a fake protest so an election calendar wouldn’t have to say “terror attack.” Now you call three lost badges authoritarianism.
You spent a career hiding from questions, ranking reporters as friends or problems, and feeding stories to the ones who played along. Your campaign tracked journalists so they couldn’t close to you or ask you anything hard. That is managing the press. Not defending it.
You hid official work on a private server. Comey called it extremely careless. Classified mail went through it.
They can still publish. Other critics are still inside. A door is not the First Amendment. Your record is not a clean conscience.

This wasn't Black Hawk Down. Believe it or not there were a lot of friendly civilians. They loved Stevens and mourned his death! You weren't there. The Americans who were there know the man carrying Stevens in this picture. They would tell you to stop making up stories to fit whatever narrative you and the other internet sleuths want to believe.

The question is: having been invited to the meeting to support the false narrative of the Benghazi video (and allegedly saying he now regrets he attended), what obligation does @Morrell have as a senior civil servant to timely set the record straight not only to protect the CIA’s credibility, but his own integrity?
And at what point did it become obvious that the video tall tale was just ONE piece of the broader effort to mislead Americans using false “intel’? Did he not know that Brennan at al were “cooking the books” on Putin supporting Trump? What about Morell leading the effort to gather signatures (wrongfully) also questioning the validity of the Hunter Biden info ?
All this while “leading” the (supposedly nonpartisan) CIA.

In retrospect, Morell said he regretted attending the meeting. He realized that @BarackObama only wanted him there for political purposes. Morell was to take any blame for the video protest narrative to protect Susan Rice, who was hoping to replace @HillaryClinton as Secretary of State.
This is another example of how Pres. Obama only saw the #Benghazi attacks through a purely political lens. Whether it was to protect his own re-election or Rice's candidacy for the Secretary of State job, telling the truth was not an option because it posed too high a political cost.

Mike Morell, the deputy CIA director who overhauled the #Benghazi talking points by replacing the truth of a terrorist attack with the lie of a spontaneous protest, conducted 2 internal reviews of the talking points in late 2012: Analytic Line Review and "Lessons Learned."
The Analytic Line Review went through each piece of CIA analysis after the #Benghazi attacks to determine how strong the supporting evidence was for each of the analytic assessments. It was completed in January 2013 and sent to Congress.
@BarackObama cited executive privilege to block the "Lessons Learned" review from being sent to Congress. This review included the #Benghazi talking points drafts as well as details on the process that was followed in drafting them.

Former regional security officer of U.S. Embassy in Tripoli Eric Nordstrom correctly testified that top people in @HillaryClinton's State Dept were allowed by the Accountability Review Board to escape any accountability for the failures that preceded the #Benghazi attack. Inexplicably, the ARB decided that it was not necessary to interview people at the top of the State Dept, including Hillary Clinton, Deputy Sec. of State Bill Burns, or Deputy Secretary of State Tom Nides.
The name "Accountability Review Board" is ironic. Nordstrom testified "It’s an accountability of midlevel officer review board, and the message to my colleagues is that if you are above a certain level, no matter what your decision is, no one is going to question it."
For any Obama Administration official looking to escape accountability for the #Benghazi disaster and cover-up going forward, Hillary's State Dept ARB report became the undisputed authority and final word on the matter, and they used it time and time again.

Hillary's ARB report questioned Ambassador Stevens's decision-making, stating "his expertise on #Benghazi in particular, caused Washington to give UNUSUAL deference to his judgements." This was a clear attempt to exonerate themselves and blame Stevens for his own death. It cannot be true that Washington deferred to Stevens and that Washington also rejected his security requests. We know factually that the latter is true. So the former cannot be.
The ARB report claimed that Stevens "made the decision to travel to #Benghazi independently of Washington" and that "Plans for the Ambassador's trip...were not shared THOROUGHLY with the Embassy's country team." Deputy Ambassador to Libya Gregory Hicks proved accusations of Stevens from Hillary's ARB report were lies, confirming that Stevens's daily plans were routinely shared within the State Dept and that his planned trip to #Benghazi was shared w/ HQ several weeks in advance.

These are just the examples we know about that became public. How many journalists like myself, Sharyl Atkisson, Catherine Herridge & so on were blackballed behind our backs? The media think this only works one way - they can choose not to cover Trump’s speeches or his rallies or his achievements and no one can hold them to account. He just has to take it & let them walk all over him in the name of a “free press”? They can report one false story after another, stories that generate YEARS of coverage like Russia collusion or the fake Climate Change scam - and they never have to correct the record or print the truth? White House Access Is a Privilege Not a Right

Last week, President Donald J. Trump removed CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House grounds after years of false reporting . The First Amendment protects their right to publish; it does not entitle them to a hard pass, briefing room seat, or place in the press pool.
Access changes are nothing new. What is new, however, is the sudden claim that it becomes sacred only when the outlets are friendly to the Radical Left. The rule was never “every outlet gets in.” It was always “our side stays in.”
For years, Democrat Administrations have restricted, punished, and locked out the press.
2009: The Obama White House branded Fox News as the “research arm” and “communications arm” of the Republican Party, barred it from a round of exclusive Sunday show interviews, instructed agencies to “skip” including it in pooled coverage, derided it as “really not news,” and undertook an all-out effort to
isolate the organization. Barack Hussein Obama now calls a Fox ban “unimaginable,” but his White House tried it and his spokesman admitted they were willing to do it.
2010: The Obama Justice Department labeled Fox News correspondent James Rosen a possible “co-conspirator” in a criminal leak case, secretly monitored his emails and phone calls, and tracked his movements an “unprecedented” level of surveillance and intimidation of a journalist over his reporting.
2011: Obama White House officials restricted the Boston Herald from coverage writing that pool slots depended on covering Obama “fairly” after the paper ran a front page Mitt Romney op-ed.
2011: After a San Francisco Chronicle reporter recorded protesters interrupting an Obama fundraiser, White House officials threatened to strip the outlet from access and warned of retaliation if the paper reported on it.
2012: The Obama Justice Department secretly seized two months of telephone records covering more than 20 Associated Press lines used by more than a dozen journalists targeting them over their reporting.
2023: The Biden White House blocked New York Post reporter Steven Nelson from covering the President’s only daytime public event despite empty seats in the room after the reporter pressed Biden on his family’s shady business dealings.
2023: The Biden Administration restricted more than 440 reporters from White House access through a new, retroactive press credentialing process with independent and conservative journalists taking a heavy share of the hit. The White House Correspondents’ Association barely objected.
2008: In the Obama campaign’s final days, senior campaign officials pulled reporters from three prominent outlets off the traveling press plane restricting them from coverage after the papers endorsed Obama’s opponent.
2021: The same media now suing once urged a ban on Fox News. CNN’s Brian Stelter repeatedly floated removing Fox News from the White House press tool as a “political tool,” and later even suggested Fox News be dropped from cable altogether.
During the first 100 days of President Trump’s second term, the Media Research Center found that 92% of coverage by mainstream outlets was negative compared to nearly 60% positive coverage during the same period under Biden. That’s more like a political operation with cameras than a free press holding power to account.
No President is required to host a hostile operation on the grounds. Access has always been a privilege and President Trump is applying that rule.

The fact that @raymaxwell55 witnessed @HillaryClinton's Sunday after-hours #Benghazi document purge session in the basement of State Dept HQ and that he was one of 4 personnel reprimanded by the Accountability Review Board and placed on administrative leave should not be seen as mere coincidence. The ARB said it was "troubled" by Maxwell's "lack of leadership and engagement on staffing and security issues in Benghazi." This groundless claim was simply a lazy attempt to scapegoat someone other than Clinton who wasn't even interviewed by the ARB.

When the Accountability Review Board requested State Dept documents regarding #Benghazi for its investigation, @HillaryClinton's senior staff members orchestrated a purge of any documents that shed a bad light on her and the State Dept, and handed over only the remainder to the ARB. This document purge was witnessed by former State Dept Deputy Assistant Secretary Ray Maxwell @raymaxwell55 in an after-hours Sunday session in the basement level of State Dept DC headquarters. He wasn't invited but decided to show up anyways when he heard about it.
When he arrived, Maxwell observed boxes and stacks of documents. A State Dept office director told him "Ray, we are to go through these stacks and pull out anything that might put anybody in the [Near Eastern Affairs] front office or the seventh floor in a bad light." The "seventh floor" was State Department shorthand for Hillary and her senior advisers. Two of those advisers, Hillary's chief of staff Cheryl Mills and Deputy Chief of Staff @jakejsullivan were present and overseeing the document purge. When Maxwell asked the State Dept office director participating in the document purge session "But isn’t that unethical?" she responded, "Ray, those are our orders." Maxwell soon left the session because he didn't feel good about it.

I'm glad you separated the two, because they were carried out by different terrorist groups. The attack on the State Dept mission compound was an attempted kidnapping and hostage swap planned months in advance by al-Qaeda. The attack on the CIA Annex was planned that night and executed by a local militia whose leader was enraged when informed that more Americans were en route to Benghazi from Tripoli. 4 out of the 5 members of the State Dept Accountability Review Board investigating the #Benghazi attacks were appointed by @HillaryClinton herself, virtually assuring she would be immune to any culpability. The fact that the ARB never interviewed Hillary, the one person in the State Dept who deserved the most scrutiny in relation to the #Benghazi disaster, removes any doubt that the goal of its investigation was to exonerate her, rendering the investigation useless. Even though she was never interviewed, Hillary was briefed regularly on the ongoing ARB investigation. ARB Co-Chair Mullen at one point had called Hillary's chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, to give her a heads up after ARB interviewed a potential congressional witness. Specifically, the supposedly honorable and unbiased Mike Mullen testified that he gave Mills “a heads-up that I didn’t think that Charlene Lamb would be a witness at that point in time that would represent the department well.” (2/2)
