LARRY ELLISON PLEDGES $57.6 BILLION IN
$ORCL STOCK AS COLLATERAL
Oracle disclosed that its Founder, Chair, and CTO has pledged 413M shares as collateral for personal term loans used to fund outside business ventures.
That is MORE THAN 8X the 50M shares Ellison had previously been permitted to sell under the trading plan he recently cancelled, with no shares sold.
Oracle says the shares are not in margin accounts or being used to hedge his exposure, and its Governance Committee believes the arrangement does not pose a material risk to Oracle or shareholders.
