Once upon a time there was gender dysphoria, treated similarly to AHS/ALS, where surgery was a last resort. Now we have gender marketed as a lifestyle choice to vulnerable people and surgery as a ‘fix’. It’s grotesque and evil. There are no other words.

Identifying as the opposite sex does not make you become that sex. Nor does wearing dresses or makeup. Nor do hormones or surgery. You were born male and you will remain male your entire life. That's how it works with humans, I'm afraid.

But it couldn’t be social contagion, folks. It’s just that young people, especially autistic, gay and mentally ill ones, are finally free to be their authentic selves. The sudden explosion of young women who want to cut off their healthy breasts and take testosterone? Well, it’s absolutely not the newest form of self-harm, to which troubled adolescent girls are provably prone, ok? It’s not a consequence of the commonplace fear of becoming an adult woman, with all that that entails. No, there’s nothing to worry about there. The possibility of regret? Naturally, we don’t let minors get tattoos or own guns or vote, because that would be ridiculous, but if they want irreversible surgeries and drug treatments, they must be given them, and everyone around them must immediately agree they are now the opposite sex. That’s called being kind. And the mounting numbers of detransitioners? They were never trans, obviously, and should be mercilessly attacked, especially if they now say they were vulnerable and in a friendship group, online or off, dominated by trans identities, where transitioning was presented as a way to resolve all their social and emotional difficulties. (I have the emails). No, there’s nothing whatsoever to see here. Keep justifying it, keep cheering it on, keep insisting that the doctors and drug companies making serious money out of it all are acting with the purest of motives. Answer every reasonable question with an accusation of hatred and bigotry. Dispel every qualm of conscience with an activist-approved talking point. Reassure yourself that everyone on your dinner party circuit agrees with you. And when, in years to come, we’re all looking back on graphs like this, be proud that you did your bit to monster whistleblowers, parrot unevidenced claims and create the climate of fear that allowed the worst medical scandal in a century to take place.
This data never ceases to "amaze" me. In 2005, very few people received any transition related genital surgery (120 over the whole of 🇩🇪), in 2025 it was 4,184. And the shift in the age distribution is staggering: Surgeries on 18-25 year olds were almost non-existent in the noughties, now they dominate every other age group by a large factor. (This is official data)

Women aren't a 'group', we are at least half the population and include many marginalised groups including lesbians, disabled women and women of different ethnic, cultural and religious heritages. What we have in common is that we are all biologically female and, because of this, we have historically been oppressed by the other half of the population - men. I wish we could be free of that brand of so-called progressivism that claims people who larp as the other sex are a marginalised group and that the historical oppressors of women - men - are allowed into the spaces where women are most vulnerable on the basis of their subjective feelings.

I have finally after 43 years of membership, and being a very active senior staff rep in the NHS, resigned from my union, Unite, over it's refusal to respect women's rights. It has made it plain that it has no respect for women and believes that men who identify as women make better women than those born female.

I've been deeply moved by seeing trans identified men upset they've been excluded from society because of their identity. My heart bleeds for them, so I made a list of places where they can enjoy life in public. I couldn't fit them all into one image, so comment with others.

@Channel4News are totally missing the point here. The report should be focusing on the utter failure of the RCN and other unions to support women and their sex based rights and sex realist beliefs and how this week’s lawfare cases highlight that. ⬇️ If you still think the unions have women’s backs, just look at the court lists this week. Today in Edinburgh, Norma Austin Hart and Alison Ann-Dowling are bringing a judicial review against Community because the union’s Gender Equality Strategy treats “women and non-binary people” as one group, even after the @ForWomenScot Supreme Court judgment said sex in the Equality Act means biological sex. Norma and Alison tried the proper route first, raising the policy internally and waiting for the leadership to listen and say that they were threatened with discipline instead. So two lifelong trade unionists are now asking a judge to do the job their union would not. Meanwhile in Dundee, Sandie Peggie is in the middle of a high profile 7 day hearing against the RCN, the union she paid into for 30 years. After she objected to a man in the women’s changing room, Sandie says the RCN failed to support her and treated her beliefs as the problem. Her three brilliant witnesses including from @ScotLesbians and @mbmpolicy helped to explain the horrifying degree of institutional capture. These are not isolated cases. @Fiona44444, a lifelong PCS activist and retired Scottish Government civil servant, is taking her own union to tribunal after she says it sidelined her for the same beliefs. Stephanie Pratt, an NHS biomedical scientist, is doing the same against Unite. These women were the members unions used to boast about: loyal, long-serving, the ones who turned up, paid the subs and expected representation when it counted. That is what makes this so bleak, because the organisations built to protect workers with the least power, often women on part-time hours, second jobs and lower grades, have left those same women to hire lawyers. This weekend makes the point even sharper. @unisontheunion , with @ASLEFunion , @USDAW and the @MusiciansUnion, is boycotting Labour’s women’s conference in Liverpool because the main hall is restricted to women as a sex, in line with the Supreme Court. @Unison says that runs counter to its policy on “trans equality”. So the largest union in the country would rather stay away from a women’s conference than accept that “woman” means female. The established unions are entirely captured so women are resorting to lawfare and setting up their own unions when they only wanted the old ones to do their job. Hence the Darlington nurses had to found the @DarlingtonUnion , co-founded by Bethany Hutchison, now its president and a witness in Sandie’s Dundee case. In sport, @sharrond62 and @TracyEdwardsMBE had to set up the Women’s Sports Union. Unions were supposed to be the shield for people who could not fight alone. Watch this week and ask who that shield is for now. I doubt Channel 4 will bother though. You can follow both hearings this week on @tribunaltweets and @tribunaltweets2
Scottish nurse Sandie Peggie is taking action against her own union, the Royal College of Nursing. She says her union reps didn't support her when she was suspended for complaining about using the same changing room as her transgender colleague Dr Beth Upton. This is her second tribunal. Previously a judge upheld a harassment claim against her employer NHS Fife arising from the same facts. Her team said they can’t tell Channel 4 News who is funding the case for legal reasons but they did say it was a 'left wing individual'. JK Rowling's office won’t confirm if she is financially backing her.

A landmark Finnish study has found a sharp rise in psychiatric illness among adolescents following sex-alteration procedures. The peer-reviewed study, published in Acta Paediatrica, tracked every young person under 23 who contacted Finland's gender clinics between 1996 and 2019. A total 2,083 individuals were studied, with 16,643 matched controls. They were followed for up to 25 years. Finland's health registers are mandatory, which means no one opts out — this is the complete national picture. The numbers: psychiatric morbidity rose from 9.8% to 60.7% in adolescents who underwent feminising reassignment, and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising reassignment. Even after adjusting for prior psychiatric history, gender-referred adolescents faced five times the risk of male population controls, and three times the risk of female controls. "Psychiatric needs do not subside after medical gender reassignment," the authors concluded. Referrals after 2010 arrived sicker. 47.9% had already needed psychiatric treatment before their first clinic visit, against 15.3% among controls. The authors' read: for some adolescents, gender distress may be secondary to other mental health challenges. The evidence keeps mounting. The silencing continues anyway. How many more adolescents will be told this is "care"?

Rory Stewart, I beg you to come and see for yourself why the grooming gang scandal is far from irrelevant—not to my life, or to the lives of the thousands of other victims and families affected. Our lives were torn apart by deeply embedded failures within institutions that enabled the mass sexual abuse of children, while those children were blamed, ignored and left to suffer the consequences. Children were failed because institutions prioritised political sensitivities over safeguarding. That is not ancient history. It is a pattern of institutional failure that continues to have consequences today. Please tell the families who lost loved ones as a result of these failures that their deaths were irrelevant. To suggest the grooming gang scandal isn't important compared to other national issues completely misses the point. The very issues that allowed it to happen, fear of being accused of racism, institutional cowardice, political correctness and the prioritisation of community cohesion over children's safety, have not simply disappeared. The scandal exposed a poison that had been allowed to spread through our institutions. It exposed how different standards could be applied depending on who the victims and perpetrators were, and how concerns were repeatedly ignored when authorities feared the consequences of acknowledging what was happening. That failure didn't just destroy individual lives. It damaged public trust, allowed organised criminality to flourish, and left vulnerable children exposed to horrific abuse. Downplaying this scandal is precisely why victims went unheard for decades. And for anyone who thinks this is simply history: it isn't. It is still happening. Children are still being failed. Victims are still being ignored. And the same institutional patterns continue to put people at risk. The grooming gang scandal is not irrelevant. It is one of the clearest examples of what happens when institutions abandon their duty to protect children in favour of protecting themselves. So please, Rory Stewart, tell me why that isn't important.
'Is Elon Musk clear that a lot of grooming cases he talks about happened ten years ago?' Rory Stewart explains why he believes there are more important issues facing Britain than gangs of 'predominantly Pakistani Muslim men' grooming women and girls. The rape gang phenomenon is an ongoing issue, with prosecutions for crimes as recent as 2025. #TUC Motion 17 commits 5.3 million union members to campaign for gender self-declaration, reversing a Supreme Court ruling on women's sex-based rights. Refuges. Changing rooms. Prisons. Women-only spaces. All at stake. Yet the motion never once uses the word "woman". Ask your union rep why. Read Motion 17 as many times as you like. Count every line, every clause, every one of its two hundred-odd words. You will not find the word “woman” anywhere in it. Not once. Not “women,” not “sex,” not “female,” not “girls.” A motion built entirely around reversing the practical effect of a Supreme Court judgment about the meaning of sex under British equality law manages, across five resolutions and four sub-clauses of condemnation, never to mention the people that judgment was about. That is not an oversight. It is the whole story. Read it here: 👇 heartlandstribune.com/tuc-mo… #womensrightsmatter #tucconfrence2026 #EHRC @RosieDuffield1 @jk_rowling

David Aaronovitch observes, with that ever-so-superior air, that it is apparently “pile on Stella Creasy time.” And I think that response tells us rather more than he perhaps intended. Because what he sees as a “pile on”, many women see as something rather different: pushback.

Women who give birth are not ‘birthing people, or chest feeders’ it’s so bloody insulting. No child has ever, in the whole history of time been born from a man. Stop removing our words for a tiny minority who pretend biology is irrelevant. The utterly frustrating thing is this does not go both way when talking about prostates or erectial dysfunction problems.. men don’t get called penis or prostate owners! 😡 It’s why it’s so obviously a men’s rights movement. It’s just women who are supposed to give up opportunities (sports/awards/places) & our descriptive words. Nothing changes. And stupid handmaidens cheer this new erasure along.

@NHSuk 111 online asks “what was your sex at birth?” Not the correct question. Try:- 1. What is your sex? 2. How do you identify? Not sure what question 2 could be. As a person with a degree in medicine, I can’t understand how a health service could ignore health, anatomy, biology, physiology, genetics, endocrinology … it’s a long list.

The reason you can't let Trans Women compete in women's sport is that they are men. The reason you can't let Trans Women into women's bathrooms, changing rooms, spas, shelters, or prisons is that they are men. The reason you can't force people to use gender-based pronouns is that compulsory lying violates a right that everyone holds not to be coerced into saying things they don't believe. The reason you can't chemically castrate and dismember confused children is that children can't consent to medicalized harm. The reason gender medicine isn't medicine is that it's never been evidence-based and it's inherently self-harming. The reason you can't teach children that any of them can change sex is that the claim is a lie. The reason you can't build a civil rights movement out of people pretending to be something they are not is that "people pretending to be something they are not" is not an actual group, the group has never been oppressed (except by the binary and immutable nature of sex which is beyond the reach of any act of human self-determination), and there is no such thing as a duty to see someone as they see themselves or treat them as something other than what they are. The whole thing has to be refused in its entirety.

Literally the only way transgender activism was able to gain ground is because it did it in stealth. Changed laws, guidelines, infiltrated institutions & governments. It claims to be a civil rights movement, yet every actual civil rights movement fought for rights in broad daylight, while actually having none/few at the time. Meanwhile, as more & more people wake up to the fact that trans activism has taken *away* rights like freedom of speech, belief, association, women’s rights, LGB rights, parental rights, etc, trans activists claim it’s an attack on them. It isn’t. “We’ve lost control of the narrative”. Yes. You have. Because people are realizing the entire narrative was fiction to begin with. For the better part of a decade, trans activists had unprecedented political capital to get whatever they wanted. They spent it all on trying to get men in women’s spaces & sport. A strategy that was always doomed to fail, and it’s their fault for not knowing that. Men who claim to be women are men and have no place in anything for women, including women’s sport.

My position is that gender dysphoria is a real, painful condition and that for some adults, the only way they may feel able to resolve that inner conflict is transition. If that’s the road they choose I wish them long life and happiness and I would vigorously oppose any discrimination against them when it comes to employment, housing or voting rights. I do not believe children have the capacity to consent to treatments that may leave them infertile and, in some cases, anorgasmic. Multiple studies have shown that gender dysphoria in childhood and adolescence is not uncommon, for gay kids particularly, but it also occurs in, for example, straight girls who hate the idea of becoming women and sometimes, tragically, in children who’ve been abused. The available evidence shows that in the majority of cases, gender dysphoria resolves after the person has gone through adolescence. I am strongly opposed to the experimental treatment of blocking puberty in dysphoric children. I believe trans activists have behaved hugely unethically and irresponsibly in pretending that there is good evidence that these treatments are beneficial (there isn’t), that puberty blockers are completely reversible (there is a mounting body of evidence to suggest they aren’t) or that children are likely to kill themselves if denied blockers (there is no evidence to support this and suicide prevention charities warn against making such statements, due to the very real danger of suicide contagion.) Of course, not all trans-identified people are dysphoric. Erotic transvestism, also known as autogynephilia, (getting a sexual thrill out of dressing as/pretending to be a woman) has been around for a very long time. I believe lesbians are entitled to exclude straight, cross-dressing men from their dating pools without being accused of bigotry and worse (same goes for gay men with trans-identified women). It’s profoundly homophobic to attack gay people for being same-sex attracted. I don’t believe anyone, adult or child, is ‘born in the wrong body.’ That is an unfalsifiable, quasi-religious belief. A person may *feel* as if they’re in the wrong body, but humans cannot literally change sex. However they identify, men don’t belong in the single-sex spaces for which women fought so hard.

What if the BBC and other mainstream broadcasters had challenged trans ideology instead of affirming it? This exchange between Vanessa Feltz and @AndrewGold_ok offers a glimpse of the conversations audiences should have heard years ago. What does “be kind” mean for women losing single-sex spaces? For employees compelled to affirm beliefs they do not share? For children being medicalised? Can someone literally change sex? And what happens when one person’s identity conflicts with another person’s rights? Instead of examining those questions, much of the media adopted the language and assumptions of trans activism - while presenting those who challenged them as cruel, hateful or obsessed with other people’s lives. Had journalists subjected these claims to proper scrutiny from the beginning, would so many institutions have adopted damaging policies? Would people have lost jobs and livelihoods? Would children have been placed on medical pathways that many now regret? Journalism is supposed to test contested claims - not affirm them. Do watch the full Vanessa Feltz interview on Andrew Gold’s Heretics YouTube channel (link below) 👇
