🚨Detected in the Dark: 23 illegal aliens including 13 Chinese nationals interdicted off Florida coast.
On Sept. 15, a Miami Air and Marine Branch Multi-Role Enforcement Aircraft conducting an Operation Vigilant Sentry patrol detected a suspicious surface target off the Florida coast near Angelfish Creek.
Marine Interdiction Agents from the Miami Marine Unit and Key Largo Marine Unit coordinated with the U.S. Coast Guard and moved in for the take down.
The target: a 27-foot cuddy cabin vessel suspected of being used for maritime smuggling.
The outcome: a safe interdiction without incident.
AMO and USCG personnel apprehended 23 individuals, including one suspected smuggler, a Cuban national, and 22 migrants of various nationalities: eight Ecuadorian nationals, 13 Chinese nationals, and one Dominican national.
The individuals were transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Pablo Valent for processing, and the vessel was seized.
This operation sends a clear message: attempting to enter the United States unlawfully by sea is extremely dangerous, puts lives at risk, and will not go undetected.

🚨Threats to our nation will be stopped long before they reach our shores.
On Sept. 11, an Air and Marine Operations P-3 on routine patrol detected a go-fast vessel in the source and transit zone that was initially dead in the water, then got underway before U.S. Coast Guard assets arrived. The P-3 crew vectored USCG air and surface assets to the vessel for a successful interdiction.
The operation resulted in 3 suspects detained and approximately 6,800 lbs. of cocaine seized at sea.

On August 24, a Tucson Air Branch UH60 crew responded to two separate rescue calls in remote Sycamore Canyon, rugged terrain near Tucson involving four illegal aliens who had illegally entered the United States and were in distress. Working with Border Patrol and BORSTAR partners, the Tucson Black Hawk crew conducted multiple hoist operations and safely recovered all four illegals.

Outstanding coordination by Border Patrol, AMO, HSI and Texas DPS. Suspected human smugglers hit 100+ mph and bailed out when their vehicle was disabled. One then carjacked a civilian at gunpoint.

On Aug. 22, the crew of USC Richard Dixon (WPC 1113) stopped a go-fast vessel carrying 5 suspected narco-terrorists and 25 bales of contraband, working alongside @CBP Air and Marine Operations. Both field tests came back positive for cocaine — one more shipment that never reached our shores. #USCG
