“Why can’t we ever charge God with doing wrong and how could He allow so much evil?” Because the wages of sin is DEATH. The moment we sin against an infinitely holy God, we deserve instant death and His righteous judgment. Make no mistake, eternal punishment in Hell is justice for our crimes against Him. EVERYTHING this side of Hell is pure mercy. Every heartbeat. Every sunrise. Every meal. Every laugh. Every breath is grace we have not earned and an opportunity to repent. NO MATTER HOW BAD IT IS, NO MATTER HOW “EVIL” IT APPEARS, SUFFERING THAT LEADS TO REPENTANCE AND SALVATION IS PURE GRACE! If God, in His perfect wisdom, permits suffering that ultimately results in even one sinner being saved by His grace, then that is one more person receiving mercy than justice alone would require. We don’t judge God’s goodness by our circumstances. We judge it by the cross, where the only truly innocent Man willingly bore the wrath sinners deserved. God is good. ALL THE TIME. ❤️

On July 29th, I lost $1.6 million in bitcoin in the Coldcard hack. It was my entire stack. Happy to share that I bought Bitcoin again today, allocating 5% of my remaining portfolio back into BTC. Yes, a company failed. BTC is stronger than ever.

OKKKKKUURRRRR RETARRDDDDD
Oil prices are a supply problem not a monetary problem. Fed won’t raise.
Community note
On September 16, 2026, the Federal Reserve unanimously voted to raise the federal funds rate target range by 25 basis points to 3.75%–4.00%. federalreserve.gov/newsevents/pre…

BREAKING: The Federal Reserve officially hikes interest rates by 25 basis points, marking its first rate hike since July 2023. This ends the longest Fed interest rate pause since 2008.

Never bet against C/C++
Replying to @PatrickToulme
Our C/C++ training stack was written by humans. AI is not yet good enough for extremely high performance software (but it will be).

🎺 I am tired of the cosplay and am going to blunt. 🎺 Most AI doesn’t threaten to cause extinction, or even mass cybercrime. The main kind of AI we need to worry about is general purpose AI agents that are hooked up to the internet. Most of them are unreliable, unable to systematically follow instructions. Coupled with internet access they can hack credentials and websites; given time they can probably do a lot worse. They are not too smart; they are too dumb (in a very specific way, viz in the consistent following of instructions). If we temporarily recall them, as the unsafe product that they are — and enforceably forbid their use until they can be shown to be safe — pretty much all the “rogue AI” stuff people are worrying about goes away. It’s that simple. We don’t (yet) need slowdowns. And we certainly don’t need to panic. We just need to take an unsafe product off the market.

Anthropic and OpenAI delaying their IPO, because their S-1 will reveal that they are bleeding money, and have no path to profitability. Solution? "AI slowdown", so they cut costs for training new models. It has everything to do with IPO, and nothing to do with safety.

I’m going to laugh when, in 5 or 10 years, it becomes obvious to everyone that “AI” (assuming it’s not a total nothingburger like Y2K or stem cells) is seen, like the internet, as just a tool with modest to significant benefits in some areas, with modest to significant costs as well (though for the internet overall costs probably exceed benefits). Not a single hype in my lifetime, and there have been very many, has ever panned out. This isn’t going to be different.

Fuck that. I like it. Show me less bitcoin in my feed 🙏🏼👏🏼 @x
My feed barely has any Bitcoin in it anymore. My "for you" is cancer right now, Feels like I’ve lost touch with a lot of the people who are actually focused on btc. I miss seeing more Bitcoiners, builders, and long-term thinkers in my timeline. Time to fix the signal. WRU?

Do you understand that bitcoin will NOT violently rocket to $1M? If anything it'll be a slow grind up to it while everything else also inflate.
Do you understand that when Bitcoin violently rockets to $1M, that one million US dollars will have surprisingly little purchasing power left?

BREAKING: US diesel prices officially rise above $6.00/gallon for the first time in history, now up +74% over the last 9 months. Diesel prices in some states are now pushing above $8.00/gallon as the US faces a massive shortage of supply. The move comes as US oil prices near $105/barrel and the Iran War continues to escalate. Inflation expectations are pushing higher as a result.

I feel as though I was born in the wrong time to be a computer scientist, engineer, programmer, whatever you want to call it. We can't seem to decide whether knowing your craft is valuable anymore and it's pissing me off. I love learning through failure, through getting my hands dirty, I don't want to have the answers handed to me, I don't want just the easy path to comfort, I want to be tested, pushed to more, to better, to more understanding and research one day.

Bitcoin should easily be at $1M by now, judging by all that's going on. Paper bitcoin and Wall Street shenanigans fucked us. No such thing as "perfect money", because humans (yes including you) are flawed and corrupt, and we simply can't keep it as such.

Bessent is buying back more bonds in an attempt to suppress yields, but the market is sending yields higher and calling his bluff, forcing him into a corner to buy even more. Realize where we are.
