EU Watchdog Targets Crypto Lending Under MiCA The European Banking Authority wants crypto lending brought under the EU's MiCA framework. The regulator urged the European Commission to assess new rules for crypto borrowing and lending. Potential measures include suitability tests, leverage limits and stronger disclosure requirements. The EBA also suggested oversight for firms giving users access to DeFi lending protocols. It said crypto lending already operates across at least 16 EU member states. The recommendations are part of the European Commission's broader MiCA review.
