This conversation has gone on far too long. The books mentioned are beyond inappropriate. We should not need a law to practice common sense or years of discussion about children finding sexually explicit books at school. But here we are. It has become a game where the left uses our children as pawns to create false narratives. Books are not banned; you can buy them if you choose. They do not belong in schools. Stop the games. Thank you @HenmackIII for making it clear we will protect our children's innocence.
SEXUALLY EXPLICIT and INAPPROPRIATE content has NO PLACE in Florida schools.
Florida school districts will be held ACCOUNTABLE for failing to protect our children from this type of content.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Comments diminishing this straightforward logical statement are infuriating. The juror stood strong even when alone in his conviction. Thatās leadership. Anyone can stand when itās popular or easy. Disregard for the innocent babies lost in this case is heartbreaking.
PPD is a real condition that should be taken seriously. Women who suffer should get help. This case has been anything but helpful.

It was an honor to return to Fort Bragg this week as the guest speaker for the U.S. Army Special Forces Qualification Course graduation.
For these new Green Berets, earning the tab is more than a milestone. It represents sacrifice, discipline and a commitment to serve when our nation calls.
More than two decades ago, I stood where they stood. The lessons I learned in Special Forces have stayed with me through every chapter since, including my service to the people of Florida.
Congratulations to Class 344. Wear the Green Beret with pride, lead with purpose and never forget the responsibility that comes with it.

Yesterday, we remembered those lost on September 11, 2001, and honored the heroes who ran toward danger when our nation was attacked.
Today, Iām thinking about September 12.
The day after one of the darkest days in American history, we woke up united in our American values.
We weren't focused on what divided us. We were Americans. We flew our flag. We checked on our neighbors. We thanked our first responders. We stood together.
Twenty-five years later, our country could use more of that spirit.
We should never forget September 11. We must be ever vigilant. And we should never forget who we were on September 12.
One nation. One people. American Values. America first.

The press needs to understand that there are real people in the trenches behind what they choose to publish.
When I was debriefing a senior terrorist, the location was put out in the news after a member of Congress gave it to the press. What they apparently didnāt understand was that I still had to go travel there to meet with him every day. Their disclosure was one stupid sentence that the story didnāt even need. But It put my life under a direct threat.
Itās easy to sit at a D.C. happy hour and debate what information should be made public when youāre far removed from the battlefield. Itās very different when wars are real, and enemies are even more real.
Information has consequences. Sometimes those consequences are measured in lives.
š¢FYI: One of the reasons I was doxxed to terrorist back then was because @starsandstripes published an article featuring my photograph.
That exposure had devastating consequences for my family. My father was killed, and my fiancƩe was murdered and dismembered into 17 pieces. I was left to collect her remains and bury her with the dignity she deserved.
I have never sued @starsandstripes, nor do I have any intention of doing so.
I believe the reporterās intention at the time was actually to highlight the good work the Marinesā Civil Affairs team was trying to accomplishāhelping compensate Iraqis whose homes and property had been damaged during heavy combat.
Whatever the reporterās intentions were, the consequences for me and my family were devastating. Iām sharing this simply to provide context for what happened.

September 11 changed the course of our nation and the lives of all Americans.
We remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken that day. We remember the first responders who ran toward danger. And we remember the Americans who raised their right hands in the years that followed and went overseas to make sure our enemies could never bring that kind of terror to our shores again.
āNever Forgetā is more than a phrase.
It is a promise to remember the cost of freedom, honor those who sacrificed to defend it, and remain vigilant against those who seek to destroy it.

This is why I am proud of @JayCollinsFL and Werther for this bill. It was an honor to see their idea signed into law by Gov. DeSantis. I am also honored to be on the Florida Board of Education as this curriculum was implemented. I am thankful that @EducationFL reacted so quickly in implementing the curriculum. Communism has no place in our schools.
Today, I joined @GovRonDeSantis, Commissioner @HenMackIII, Senator @BryanAvilaFL and several freedom fighters at the Bay of Pigs Museum to discuss Floridaās implementation of its History of Communism standards for the first time this academic year.
My grandparents fled communist Cuba and provided my family with the opportunity to pursue the American Dream.
We cannot let history repeat itself. We must preserve our freedoms. This is why students across our state are learning of the atrocities that resulted from communist regimes.
