In May 1962, the only Japanese pilot who ever bombed the United States mainland during World War II stepped off a plane in Brookings, Oregon, with a 400-year-old samurai sword hidden inside his suitcase.
In September 1942, Imperial Japanese Navy pilot Nobuo Fujita had launched from submarine I-25 in a tiny floatplane and dropped incendiary bombs on the forests outside Brookings. Nobody was hurt, and rain put the small fires out.
Twenty years later, the young Americans of the Brookings Jaycees, many of them U.S. combat veterans, invited their former enemy to their town Azalea Festival.
Fujita packed his family's 400-year-old katana for a terrifying reason. He silently vowed that if angry Americans pelted him with rotten eggs, he would draw that ancestral blade and commit traditional seppuku right there to apologize with his life.
Instead, American World War II veterans stepped forward, looked him in the eye, and shook his hand with warm smiles.
Moved to tears by the grace of small-town Americans, Fujita handed over the 400-year-old sword that had guarded his family for sixteen generations as a pledge of eternal peace.
When a timber recession hit Brookings in 1985, Fujita paid 15,000 dollars from his own pocket to fly three Brookings high school students to Japan. And when he died at age eighty-five, his daughter buried part of his ashes beneath an Oregon redwood tree.
Only a truly great nation can disarm a samurai with an outstretched hand.

Today’s New York Times reports that Mary Peltola’s team helped recruit another Dan Sullivan to confuse voters and siphon votes from the Republican incumbent.
Apparently, somebody thought Alaskans needed “help” voting for the wrong Dan Sullivan.
Will you apologize for brushing aside concerns about voter confusion? Will you condemn the scheme involving Peltola’s team with the same certainty you condemned DOJ?
Alaskans don’t need any help voting for their preferred candidates, and the State of Alaska has already handled this by clearly distinguishing the candidates on this year’s ballot. The Department of Justice should never have filed this lawsuit.

I wonder what party these 3,000 voters that didn't receive their ballots are associated with?
If they are not a random assortment and are all from one specific party, investigations need to conducted.

The NYT's historically has only done something like this when they know it's coming out ANYWAY, it CANNOT BE STOPPED, and so the only logical choice is to attempt DAMAGE CONTROL by breaking the news gently YOURSELF.
The DOJ did not launch the criminal investigations AFTER the NYT's story broke; the DOJ criminal investigations were ALREADY UNDERWAY.
NYT's got wind of it, likely heard there are TEXT MESSAGES and EMAILS that are DAMNING.
If it's coming ANYWAY, and from what you know, this is almost impossible to spin, you lead the charge yourself and try to 'steer' the damage to where it has as little impact as possible.
What is everyone’s theories on why Mary Peltola got thrown under the bus? Maybe because of the DOJ investigation, getting ahead of it?

Minnesota is dead serious about putting James O’Keefe and Cam Higby in prison for a maximum of 10 years.
This case is baseless, but in front of a liberal jury, they can land anything.
Everyone needs to come out and support these two.
They’re exposing fraud and Minnesota is trying to intimidate other journalists from exposing it in their state.

James O'Keefe and Cam Higby are being summons to court by the liberal Hennepin County district attorney.
If either of them fail to appear in court, this hack will get a warrant for their arrest.
O'Keefe and Higby have both been charged with felony unlawful voting and identity theft.
They are both facing 10 years in prison, if convicted.
The DA confirmed that both men NEVER SIGNED THE OATH OR CASTED A BALLOT.
There's no crime here--it's a move to discourage journalists from reporting on the fraud in Minnesota.
I'd like to see the DOJ's Civil division step in here.

There is a literal coup against President Trump being plotted as we speak.
1,600+ former USAID employees, military, state dept diplomats, & foreign policy officials are planning violence for after the midterms.
If Democrats win the House & Senate, the plot will be activated.
DSA “foot soldiers” will take to the streets, instigating violence clashes with Trump law enforcement agents.
They intend their violence to provoke Trump into invoking the Insurrection Act.
If Trump invokes that law, the thugs plan to seize power from the federal govt in a “doomsday scenario” deletimizing the federal govt and giving power to Democrat governors in blue states.

Black Passenger Threatens to “Pop” White Woman in the Mouth Over Airplane Tray Table
She filmed it herself and called the woman next to her a “Karen.”
During the meal, the older white passenger (window seat) says she can “barely even eat.” The woman recording dismisses her, tells her to figure it out and stay in her section, then repeatedly escalates when the other woman keeps talking: “You ’bout to get popped in your fucking mouth,” “get fucking bopped into your motherfucking mouth.”
The white passenger stays relatively calm, mentions civility, and doesn’t issue threats. No flight attendant appears in the clip. No public details on the airline, whether anyone was moved, or any official report.
