You know those random thoughts that just enter your head and suddenly make you sit down like... wait.
I was thinking about school recently, and I started wondering about all the things we spent years learning there... and all the things nobody ever taught us that life is now teaching us by force.
I was told 1+1 is 2 but wasn’t told what to do when life doesn’t add up for you.
They told me A is for apple B is for ball but they never said A can also stand for Anxiety and sometimes B can be battles you can’t tell anyone at all.
They made us crime definition like robot but forget to teach us how to maintain our thought.
They taught us how to find X but not how to find ourselves, they told us that triangle have 3 sides but never told us what to do when we fell empty inside.
They taught me how to spell success but not how to handle the mental stress that come with it.
They said pass your exam that you’ll go far but forget to add that sometimes it’s who you know that takes you far, they made failure sound like a crime.
Like repeating a class was a big shame, if you didn’t get the best position you are seen to be dull and slow or if you fail the text flogging and shame will follow.
what they didn’t mention is that sometimes it’s okay to fail or fall that failure can teach us how to stand tall.
See if they have taught us this thing in school instead of math formulas we bearly even use, maybe we’ll have been more better to face life, maybe our life would have turned out differently, just maybe.
This are things I didn’t learn in school now am learning them the hard way in life by falling, rising, and figuring things out because I realize that some lesson can’t be found in class.
And maybe that's something we should all think about.
For those of us already learning these things the hard way, I guess we just keep falling, rising and figuring things out as we go.
And for those still in school, I hope you learn that failing doesn't make you useless, success isn't the only thing that matters, and knowing all the answers in a textbook doesn't automatically mean you'll know what to do when life starts asking you questions nobody prepared you for.
Just another Nona random thought.

Because sometimes I genuinely wonder what kind of people we would be if we didn't grow up with the internet.
Think about it.
You wake up and before you've properly started your day, you've already seen how 200 people are living theirs.
Someone bought a car. Someone is making $10k a month. Someone is 21 and has built a whole company. Someone is crying on camera. Someone is showing you what they ate for breakfast.
Your brain is processing hundreds of lives, opinions, problems, standards and expectations every single day.
And I wonder if we're even built for that.
Maybe that's why it has become so easy to feel behind.
You're not only comparing yourself with the people around you anymore. You're comparing your life with millions of people you would never have known existed.
And then there's the weirdest part...
How much of us is actually us anymore?
Our opinions can be influenced by what we see every day. We discover things we never knew we wanted because somebody posted them. We start wanting lifestyles we've only seen through a screen.
Sometimes a thought becomes popular online and suddenly everybody has the same opinion.
Maybe the internet didn't just connect us.
Maybe it entered our heads too.
Just another Nona random thought.
