Today’s episode of Do Man stuff My wife was upstairs cooking breakfast and she came down and told me that our whirlpool oven was “clicking” and worked for the first batch of bacon but wouldn’t heat up. Turns out, the oven igniter board is arcing across the traces, but the stovetop ignites and works with no problem. So today we’re doing one of my least favorite things. Working on household appliances. Why are these parts so damn expensive ? They’re generally single layer PCBs, and they’re definitely mass produced. So why is an OE replacement igniter board $140+ and why was the newer revision so difficult to cross reference ? Shoutout to @grok coming in clutch finding a local supply house, but I won’t have the part until Tuesday at the earliest.
Weekend episode of Do Man Stuff It’s rained so much lately that my flower beds got out of control. Had to clean em up. The work that you think will take all day, usually only takes a couple hours. Before —> After Mulch and weed barrier replacement up next.

‼️ The FBI has removed a contractor over a breach that exposed personal details of thousands of its employees. The cause, per the FBI's cyber chief: a security patch that was "explicitly issued" but never installed. Sources tell Reuters the contractor is from Accenture and the unpatched platform was Oracle PeopleSoft, which ShinyHunters says it exploited.

On the eve of Skyler Philippi's sentencing, his lawyers have filed more evidence that undercover FBI agents encouraged him in a plot to attack energy infrastructure right before the 2024 election. The DOJ said Philippi determined the timing of the attack, but transcripts filed by the defense show otherwise. UC1: "We got to do something quick. Man, it’s November."
The defendant in this case, Skyler Philippi, is to be sentenced next month. His lawyers are asking for leniency--pointing to how the undercover FBI agents essentially groomed their client, who was homeless living in a tent when he met them.

The New York Fed walked into JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, Barclays, and Morgan Stanley to ask about the private-credit loans they are financing. Nobody is talking. “…questions about overall exposure, risk-management, and collateral quality, people familiar with the matter said. The Fed, JPMorgan, Barclays, Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley declined to comment. The review was prompted in part by JPMorgan’s move in March to mark down large swaths of loans in private credit portfolios, particularly those to software companies threatened by AI, the people said….”
Is the Fed prepared to let taxpayers bail out big banks again? Remember this line from a Wall Street on Parade article in June? "..The Fed and FDIC appear like indulgent parents of an out-of-control teen when it comes, particularly, to JPMorgan Chase, Jamie Dimon and derivatives..." Professor Emeritus of Law Arthur E. Wilmarth, Jr. at George Washington University recently wrote the opinion piece (link below) and Wall Street on Parade has key takeaways. Wilmarth wrote the book "Taming the Megabanks" "Since the financial crash of 2008, the U.S. has experienced three serious banking crises. And not once during those crises was the Orderly Liquidation Fund used. The reason is simple. As long as the megabanks can get trillions of dollars in below-market-rate revolving loans from emergency programs quickly created by an obliging Federal Reserve, why would they settle for billions of dollars that involve approval from the U.S. Treasury and public scrutiny.... ..."Megabanks continue to exploit implicit subsidies resulting from widely shared expectations of future bailouts. Given the lack of credible strategies for resolving failures of megabanks without publicly funded rescues, we must recognize that megabanks pose grave threats to financial stability and social welfare. Requiring big banks to increase their equity capital significantly would be an important first step in addressing those threats.” The second critical step would be separating federally-insured banks from the casino trading houses on Wall Street by restoring the Glass-Steagall Act, which provided financial stability in the U.S. for 66 years until its repeal in 1999..." wallstreetonparade.com/2024/… americanbanker.com/opinion/t…

Why did Obama have an Ameritech email address in October of 2008? Ameritech was defunct in 2002. Why did a US Senator have a Private Email address that ties back to AT&T? Why does that same email address trace back to NARA and the Obama Library?

So The U.S. (colonists) threatens to impose sanctions on the UK (colonizers) for boycotting settlements (colonies) being setup by the Israelis In land adjacent to a nation state that’s origin was facilitated by the British The current royal family is actually German and the same land in context was name changed by a Roman Emperor through a Jewish Revolt over an alleged ban on circumcision and a push to make Jerusalem a Roman Colony Pretty ironic tbh.
JUST IN: 🇺🇸🇬🇧 US threatens to impose sanctions on UK for boycotting Israeli settlements.

LEAKED ORACLE DOCUMENT SAYS ORACLE IS NOW PAYING UNDERPERFORMING EMPLOYEES TO QUIT The program is called VSP. It expanded October 1. If you finished coaching and still missed targets, you get a choice: 1. Go on a PIP 2. Resign now and collect 6 weeks of severance This company is absolutely hemorrhaging cash as they shift to a data center first strategy. The humans are expendable, and will continue to be. Resignations do not count as layoffs. Likely, December brings the real cuts for those that do not take the deal.
Rumor, backed by email evidence: Oracle is now offering voluntary severance packages to leaders across the company. The offer is six weeks of severance, plus an additional week for every year of service. This is the latest coming out of Oracle. Still unconfirmed, but signs are pointing to another round of layoffs in December as Oracle continues its shift toward becoming a data center company. The voluntary packages may only be the opening move. If the rumors are right, looks like December is when more cuts begin.

BREAKING: Germany has arrested former BND chief August Hanning in a major suspected espionage and treason case involving highly classified intelligence on Iran’s nuclear programme and the Russian military. According to investigations by WDR, NDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating Hanning over suspected treasonous espionage, obtaining state secrets, attempted treason and intelligence-agent activity. Investigators from the Federal Criminal Police Office reportedly arrested Hanning early this morning at his home in Nordwalde near Münster. A second former senior BND employee, identified as Manfred D. was also arrested in Bavaria. D. allegedly supplied Hanning with highly classified BND information for money until at least 2022. Around 2,000 classified documents are reportedly believed to have been passed from D. to Hanning. Many were briefings prepared for the “ND Lage” at the Federal Chancellery, where the heads of Germany’s security agencies exchange intelligence. The documents reportedly included extremely sensitive assessments of Iran’s nuclear programme and Russia’s armed forces, as well as intelligence originating from foreign partner services. Investigators reportedly suspect that Hanning used at least some of the information to prepare a security analysis for a foreign intelligence service. According to WDR, NDR and SZ, the service involved in that case was not Russia. In another case, Hanning is alleged to have used information from classified BND documents in communications with a foreign agent. The case reportedly came to light after Hamburg investigators searched Hanning’s home and offices in September 2025 during a separate investigation connected to the Christina Block kidnapping case. They allegedly discovered an electronic storage device containing highly classified BND material that Hanning should not have possessed. The documents reportedly included material dating as recently as June 2022, years after Hanning had left the BND. The Hamburg LKA subsequently handed the material over to federal authorities, and the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office opened a classified investigation in May 2026. For Germany’s intelligence community, the allegations are extremely serious. The material allegedly included intelligence supplied by foreign partner services. Any unauthorized disclosure of such information could seriously damage trust between the BND and allied intelligence services. The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations against Hanning have not been proven in court.

🚨 FMCSA Is Pulling 1,000 CDLs a Month. FMCSA Chief Derek Barrs addressed a crowd of truckers at the annual TenFour D.C. event on the National Mall, saying the agency is now pulling "around 1,000 or so a month" non-domiciled CDLs "issued improperly." He called fraud in the industry "rampant," pointing to the new "Joint Task Force Crossroads of America," a DOT-DHS partnership with federal prosecutors and nine state attorneys general already shutting down sham CDL schools and flagging carriers that hire unlicensed drivers. When one attendee yelled "And brokers, too!", Barrs didn't push back. He said FMCSA lacks criminal authority but is leaning on law enforcement partnerships to go after bad actors across the chain.
