Amid this bizarre FlyDubai frenzy, a lot of people don’t seem to understand that the “false flag” narrative functions effectively as a pro-Israel, Zionist narrative masquerading as an anti-Israel narrative. Why?
First because it plays into and draws from the pro-Israel, Mossad-promoted myth of Israeli omnipotence, the superhuman ability to pull off any trickery any time anywhere.
Second, and more important, it potentially insulates Israel from the consequences of its actions. The more plausible scenario, that someone wanted to take down a plane load of Israelis, is a far more troubling one for Israel because it punctures their comfortable notion that they can genocide who they like, protected by Arab vassals and free to continue their life of vacations and consumption as normal. Striking at their Dubai lifeline to the outside world strikes at the heart of their psychological security. It emphasizes that nowhere is safe and normalization doesn’t protect them.
For the avoidance of doubt, I do not condone or advocate taking down civilian aircraft!
It could also be the act of a disturbed individual with no specific motivation.
We do not yet know the full story and we might never get it. Obviously Israel is going to try to spin it to its best advantage, including tales of heroism and “Islamic radicalization” and baselessly blaming Iran. We should still be cautious and wary of drawing conclusions, spinning stories and bunk “analysis” that defies basic facts and common sense.
But also think about how, in the absence of clarity, these narratives that people are so eager to spread actually function.
And with that I emphasize I’m not saying I know what happened. I’m saying I don’t know and neither do the rest of you, especially all the instant aeronautical engineers and forensic scientists.
