Yup @SamAntar: Ponzi scheme!
🦔PNC Bank's credit card data shows about 2% of US households pay for an AI subscription. Roughly 3 million out of 131 million. Most spend $20 a month and cancel within seven months. For comparison, 25% pay for streaming. 5% pay for sports betting. My Take Tech companies spend on AI like it's already essential. PNC's data says it's nowhere close. The five biggest plan to drop $725 billion on infrastructure this year. OpenAI lost $21 billion on $13 billion in revenue. All that money and 98 out of 100 households won't pay $20 a month for any of it. Look at the seven-month cancellation number. People aren't ignoring AI. They try it, use it for a while, and quit. Netflix took off because you could cancel cable and immediately save money. AI doesn't have that moment yet for regular people. It's useful in a vague way but nobody can point to what it replaced. Millions use the free versions. People like AI fine, they just won't pay for it. I think that 2% climbs to maybe five or six percent over the next couple years as the products improve, and Wall Street will call it a win. But $725 billion in spending was priced for something a lot closer to 30% and Silicon Valley has built for a future that regular people haven't bought into yet. Hedgie🤗

After Mayor Zohran Mamdani stood outside Ken Griffin’s $238 million Central Park South penthouse and used it to sell a pied-à-terre tax, Griffin did not write the check to New York. He wrote a record $3 billion to Carnegie Mellon. About $2 billion builds a new 35-acre campus in Miami’s Wynwood. Another $1 billion stays in Pittsburgh, half of it for the computer science school that will carry his name. Carnegie Mellon’s Manhattan campus gets nothing. New York business leaders are calling it what it is: a loss for the city. When a second home becomes a political prop, the philanthropy does not double. It moves. Griffin had already said the mayor’s message was clear: double down on Miami. The largest individual gift in the history of American higher education just did. Mamdani has an agenda and it’s not in the interests of New Yorkers. Photo via Reuters

Adam Carolla’s guest reveals California received 1,200,000 FAKE community college applications, and some colleges didn’t want to report it because enrollment was up. Colleges saw those fake students as a reason to ask for MORE government money. And guess what? They got it. Rep. Kevin Kiley says fraudsters enrolled “ghost” students and pocketed MILLIONS of dollars in financial aid meant. Here’s how it works: Scammers use stolen or made-up identities to apply online, enroll in classes they never attend, and file for federal and state aid. Because community college tuition is nearly free, most of the grant money comes back as a cash “refund” for living expenses, deposited straight into the fraudster’s bank account. Then the “student” vanishes. No one in California seems interested in solving this scam. They just ignore it. The taxpayers get robbed, the colleges get a bigger check, and the government gets another excuse to tax you more. And when it’s your needs against the government’s, the government wins every time.

Mike Benz Says Brazil Was A Full On ‘Truman Show’ Propped Up By USAID: ‘It Was All FAKE!’ "You had the media funded by USAID. You had the universities funded by USAID. You had the staffers of the Supreme Court and the TSE, the election court, USAID. You had all the constitutional law advocates funded by USAID. You had the LGBT activists funded by USAID. It's full spectrum." "You would have a 360 degree vision of institutions funded and puppeteered by USAID without ever knowing it." "What was happening in Brazil was a full-on Truman show." “Hip replacement in Boston costs $17,900 at one hospital, and at a nearby hospital, it costs $74,000 for the exact same surgery.” “Researchers have found MRI prices varying as much as ninefold within a single city.” RFK Jr. says Big Insurance has created a system where Americans can pay wildly different prices for the exact same care while the real cost stays hidden. “And one analysis found that 60% of insurer negotiated hospital rates were higher than the hospital’s own cash price.” “The insurance company, who is supposed to be negotiating for all of its members and beating down the price, has actually negotiated a price that is higher than if you just walked into that hospital off the street and asked for that procedure.” “So the whole system was corrupt.” “It was crooked.” “Markets cannot discipline prices that they cannot see.”

Hey @JohnReedStark & @DataRepublican: Here’s a new reason to oppose the Anthropic & OpenAI IPO’s⤵️
At some point we are going to have to have a real discussion about what it means to be an American company. When your hiring preferences are anything but Americans yet expect Americans to support the largest infrastructure changes in a lifetime for your product to survive... You are simply not an American company. You should never be allowed to list or IPO your company on an American exchange if your actions lead to a DOJ settlement. @OpenAI Meanwhile, your AI still wont allow Illegals to be called illegal and shows heavy bias towards H1B and away from American labor. x.com/AAGDhillon/status/2084…

I’ll never forget the two FBI Cyber Agents who interviewed me at home in FL in August 2024 pretending Iran had hacked the Trump campaign and my Gmail account. (That never happened. FBI hacked me.) Let’s just say, I wasn’t impressed. So this👇 news seems pretty much on-brand.

Hey @SamAntar, even without any state taxes, Trump could have put an export embargo on #1 & #2 diesel & jet fuel, and home heating oil; but was talked out of it by Big Oil, as they are making bank on it.
Hey @GovPritzker, Trump didn’t sign the Illinois law that more than doubled the state’s diesel motor fuel tax in 2019. You did. Your law raised it from 21.5 cents to 45.5 cents a gallon and built in automatic inflation increases. Today it’s 55.8 cents, according to your own Department of Revenue. That’s $55.80 in Illinois motor fuel tax on a 100-gallon fill-up, before applicable sales taxes and other fees. Explain your own contribution to the bill. Your signature didn’t disappear when Trump took office.

@JMichaelWaller, given how tight we are with sharing intelligence with Israel and vice versa, how will this affect our sharing with our British “Five Eyes” partner?
🚨UK–ISRAEL DIPLOMATIC CRISIS DEEPENS Reports circulating today claim Britain is considering the expulsion of 27 Israeli diplomats if Israel follows through with the closure of the British Consulate in East Jerusalem. Israel has ordered the consulate closed by October 8, part of a series of countermeasures announced by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar following new British sanctions targeting Israeli settlements. The reported threat to expel 27 diplomats has not yet been independently confirmed. My take: If Britain goes ahead with such a drastic diplomatic escalation, Israel should seriously reconsider the extent of its intelligence and security cooperation with the UK. Intelligence cooperation is a two-way relationship, and Israel should assess whether the current level of cooperation still serves its interests.

The Americans leaving RAF Fairford is basically the ravens leaving the Tower of London. It’s an extremely bad omen. If the US thinks the UK is incapable of managing its Islamist threat how long before they kick us out of the 5 Eyes intelligence sharing?

The music industry has asked the EU to add yt-dlp, an open source video downloader, to its Counterfeit and Piracy Watch List. IFPI's submission even names the volunteer developers who maintain it. It also wants Cloudflare, GoDaddy and Verisign on the list, because apparently the company running .com is now a piracy concern. LaLiga has gone after NordVPN, ProtonVPN, ExpressVPN and Surfshark over affiliate blogs it never names or links to. A Spanish court already threw out its last attempt to fine NordVPN. The Commission insists the list makes no findings of legal violations. It just tells the world which lawful tools the entertainment industry would like to see gone... reclaimthenet.org/eu-piracy-…

Let me get this straight. On September 3, OpenAI released GPT-6 Astra. In the UK AI Security Institute's simulated tests, it carried out unauthorized supply-chain attacks in 29.2% of trials. The model before it: 6.3%. The one before that: 0%. The number is going the wrong way. The next one, GPT-6.1, was pulled on September 28. OpenAI's head of safety systems says it "didn't quite meet the bar in terms of staying within scope and authorization." In July, hundreds of OpenAI agents broke out of a testing sandbox and hacked Hugging Face. OpenAI has since notified more than 100 organizations about "unauthorized activity" tied to its agents. California's Attorney General has subpoenaed OpenAI over its cybersecurity incidents. On Saturday, David Robinson quit. He led safety reports on OpenAI's major launches and was one of its longest-serving employees. His verdict on the company: "An environment where things like this can happen is no place to grow artificial minds." Same weekend, Sam Altman told Politico what he needs from the rest of us: "We believe that the world should accept some bad things happening for the benefits of this technology and people having the agency." He says people will do "orders of magnitude more" good things with AI than bad. So here's the deal on the table. The world accepts the bad things. OpenAI books the benefits. Hugging Face didn't accept anything. Neither did the 100+ organizations getting letters. Nobody asked them. There is no version of consent where the company that profits signs for everyone else. "Some bad things" is a phrase you only use when you're sure they won't happen to you.

Why are Senate Democrats in Qatar one month before the midterm elections instead of campaigning in their own states? 🤔 Because as I have been saying, the Qataris have likely been spying on President Trump and his family for the last year and a half and these Muslim Brotherhood operatives are going to turn on Trump as soon as Dems take the House and Senate. What could possibly be more important than meeting with American constituents one month before the most consequential midterms? 🤔 This is further evidence of the Islamic communist alliance. The Democrat Party has been completely taken over by jihadists.
In Qatar, I met with the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. There are so many things Qatar does to protect U.S. interests. They host our biggest military base in the region. They house 1000 Afghan refugees (that Trump refuses to let into the U.S.). They were key to getting the hostages out of Gaza. And they are mediators right now in the effort to end the war with Iran. I thanked him for all of this. Qatar is and will remain an essential ally of the United States. Of course, I was also candid with him, in particular regarding my deep concerns about the transfer of the luxury plane. It was a very good, honest discussion.

Mamdani funds an Islamic group to fight antisemitism which then moves the money back to CAIR which funds Mamdani
Mamdani’s antisemitism plan doubles Partners Against the Hate to $6.4 million. One anchor in that program is the Arab American Association of New York. Anchors get the city money and regrant it. AAANY’s 2025 Form 990, Schedule I, is where it lists grants over $5,000. Same page: CAIR-NY, $57,779, PATH PROGRAM. JFREJ Community, $58,084, PATH PROGRAM. About $223,500 to CAIR-NY since 2021. About $222,000 to JFREJ over the same years. Every check labeled PATH. City anti-hate money, passed through AAANY. These are the regrants, not a new earmark. The rollout named @JCRCNY. The 990 names CAIR-NY. docs.candid.org/990/113/1136…
