Today, EPD responded to a sighting of federal agents at Dodge/Howard, where a US citizen was briefly detained and then released. The person was treated at St Francis hospital for minor injuries. EPD continues to investigate the situation, and we will remain vigilant about federal activities.
Multiple ICE vehicles were seen near the intersection of Dodge Avenue and Howard Street in Evanston around 10:00 a.m., according to a 10:31 a.m. ICIRR alert.

An employee still there agreed, and put the odds of AI killing all humans above 10%.
This is an emergency. Congress must convene hearings and pass my and Bernie’s superintelligence ban.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
