The White House is coordinating with the Justice Department to hide its abortion agenda from voters until after they've voted in order to try to influence the results of the election.
SCOOP: The WH, led by Susies Wiles, has taken a heavy handed approach in directing AG Todd Blanche to slow walk any abortion matters ahead of the midterms - including in pending mifepristone litigation. Blanche/admin has told pro-life groups to wait until after election

Chief Justice John Roberts Shunned by His Neighbors as Backlash Over Pro-Fascist, Cruel, and Sadistic Trump Rulings Grows Chief Justice John Roberts is being frozen out on the Maine island where he has summered for more than 20 years. Neighbors who once shared lobster dinners with him now keep their distance, skip gatherings, or show up to protest his rulings. The break tracks the court's 2022 barbaric decision overturning Roe v. Wade and Roberts' 2024 opinion granting Donald Trump the same kind of broad immunity from prosecution that other authoritarian tyrants enjoy. Kayakers hold signs a few hundred yards from his house. "Roberts Benched the Constitution" appears on local roads. On Monhegan Island, people who recognized him chanted that he should be ashamed. Longtime friends have pulled back. Members of a local cigar club skipped this summer's gatherings so they would not have to sit with Roberts and his wife. "It's harder for him to feel comfortable approaching people — and vice versa," said Mary Anne Mason, a former law partner. His security detail has grown. He used to linger on the dock after church; on protest days he stays away. Wendy Schlotterbeck, a longtime neighbor, said she wanted to ask him directly: "Do you realize what your decisions are doing to my family and my community?" A recent Gallup poll put the fascist-friendly Roberts Supreme Court's approval at a record low of 33% — which is still 33% higher than it should be.

History lesson: House democratic judiciary chairman Peter Rodino hired 2 GOP lawyers to lead the Nixon watergate probe. The vote to impeach was bipartisan. The Supreme Court voted 8-0 to turn over the White House tapes. GOP senators Barry Goldwater & Hugh Scott told Nixon he would be convicted so he resigned. As Pres Ford said, our long national nightmare was over.

The Department of Defense exists to defend the United States. It is not a church. I’m a man of faith, and my faith matters deeply to me. But the First Amendment exists precisely so that no American, regardless of their religion or lack of one, ever has to wonder whether their government is working for them or for a particular set of religious beliefs. This Administration seems to be confused. The separation of church and state isn’t an attack on religion. It’s what protects everyone’s freedom to practice it. This is the government taking a side on religion, and that is a line the Constitution does not allow us to cross.

GOP Sen. Thom Tillis privately tore into Trump in texts obtained by Politico: “If you had ever threatened me directly with a primary, I would have immediately told you to f*ck yourself... Save those threats and head games for cowards and fools.” And in another: “I don’t take this bullsht from anyone, including you Mr. President. Save that sht for the cowards who don’t care if you fail. I care if you fail and right now we are failing.” 👉 politico.com/playbook

Two weeks of promotion for a town hall that couldn't fill 50 chairs. State Rep. Gary Click advertised Vivek Ramaswamy's Tiffin stop at a 450-seat university venue — then quietly moved it into a downtown party room, with a GOP source predicting turnout would be "very low." Protesters still showed up outside, and hours later Ramaswamy capped the night by telling followers his second event was in Seneca County — it was actually in Wood County. We already heard Mike Johnson admit they're waiting until after the midterms to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. And new reporting revealed Trump wants to further restrict reproductive care now too. They know this isn't what the American people want, so they're hiding it until you can't vote them out. The only thing standing between this administration and more reckless cuts is a BLUE Senate. Let's make it happen.

It is clear why Vivek Ramaswamy refuses to answer questions about his plans as governor - it’s because he has none. The only time he's ever come out with any plan is when he’s copied @amyactonoh. cleveland.com/news/2026/09/t…

If Alito retires, he could well be replaced by a 40-year-old ultra-conservative. It’s no overstatement to say the next 50 years of American jurisprudence are on the ballot this fall. To provide a check on Trump’s nominees, we need a Democratic Senate. Vote accordingly.
Justice Alito confirms he is considering retirement politi.co/3TjSV2d

I'm thinking that the GOP stunt about Jack Smith and the basketball game wasn't a misunderstanding of Hawks/Hawkeyes. I think Schmitt and company planned to flash that poster and then move on, leaving Mr. Smith looking confused on camera and unable to explain the supposed texts. The thing that blew it up, and the thing that really got to Schmitt, was that Senator Klobuchar called him on it and foiled his plans. The GOP men involved were mad at being exposed and beaten by a woman.

It took "courage" to strip women of their most basic human right? It took "courage" to tell women what they can do with their own bodies? What an absolute irredeemable POS. Just sick and gross and ugly and evil.
Sam Alito wants you to know that it took courage for him to overturn Roe after the decision was leaked and that it cost him friends.

I could only make it halfway through this transcript before I had to stop. It’s almost unbelievable that this man is the President of the United States. He rarely finishes a coherent thought. At one point, he actually says that all of his decisions “are correct ones.” His explanations of the national debt and basic economics are astonishingly muddled. And he makes false claim after false claim with absolute confidence. I can't tell if he's just doesnt care that he's lying or actually belives the lies himself. Reading the transcript—not watching him, not hearing the delivery, just reading his actual words—is jarring. time.com/article/2026/10/01/…
